I switched modem/router combos when I wasn't able to connect my new Nest thermostat to my previous wi-fi and couldn't get a signal throughout my house. Now it's much stronger!

Would recommend owning a router instead of renting, chop that monthly bill down and get a net gear, haven’t had any issues

This was my first router/modem upgrade in almost a decade, and the performance upgrade is night and day. Very easy to set up, and the mobile app is also very convenient. So far a very solid product.
