Simple Set Up

Very easy to install and set up using the app. Definite upgrade in wifi service throughout my home compared to the Comcast rental equipment. Worthwhile investment.

I had no problem setting up my modem router even though I am computer challenged. I’m old school from an analog world n digital is confusing but this was simple to set up.

Great modem but....

I purchased this modem to replace the one from my ISP. Everything was programmed correctly, but for some reason I’m not getting the speed I need from my Internet. I’ve spoken with bot my ISP and Netgear tech support to find out why I’m getting slow speeds when I do a speed test. Net gear says it’s my ISP which I believe is true. They want you to rent theirs out, how else will they make money right?! There seems to be a file that is sent to my modem, but it’s not the correct one and I’ve told my ISP about it and they said everything looks fine. They even sent a tech out to my house and unfortunately I was not home, only my wife was. So she couldn’t answer much technical questions. They tested and were getting fast speed. I plugged my laptop directly to the modem when I got home and cannot even get more than 200Mbps. Which I’m paying for 400 . Not sure what else to do. I wanted to opt out of renting theirs so if my netgear doesn’t have what it takes to get fixed then unfortunately I’m going to have to return it.

So much better, no lagging, better wifi signal throughout the house. Faster downloads. Wonderful all the way around!
