First Impression

This modems was actually a lot more involved than I would have liked starting off. After downloading the app there was a user setup for the app and then another one for the modem. It’s a little frustrating when you need an internet connection to download the app because your cellphone service is poor. Now that the setup is complete I have to say the range on this unit is actually pretty good. I live in a 1600 square foot home and the modem is located in my office on the top level. The signal is strong enough to connect my smart TV and it works great. Of course a speed test will show the download/upload speeds diminish further away from the modem, but for regular computing is does the trick.

Great reception and features

Going from a surfboard modem/router to this is like going from a flip phone to a smart phone. Great looks, great features and strong reception even through 2 walls. The app is a fantastic addition as well. I especially like being to block devices from accessing when it’s time for the kids to take a break.

Tired of Rental Fees

Previous to this I was using a rented router from comcast, and needless to say if you do the math those fees will add up quick! So It was no question about switching it out and for one of the most proven around! I have had zero issues with it and I have loved it! I would most certainly recommend.

After bringing home, took out of box and reviewed the instructions and set up cords and used the easy to download and create an account with their up to set up connection.
