For the most part it is better than my previous modem, however I have to switch between 2.4G and 5G at times to get better speeds. Still lags at times.

Easy to set up

It was extremely easy to get the router set up for basic use using the app. I pay for gigabyte/sec speed through Comcast and their router never came close to what I was paying for so I bought the C7000v2. So far it is pretty close to what the router claimed to be capable of broadcasting. Its downfall- it set my PS4 to NAT Type 3, and there is no easy way to change that without getting into a bunch of complicated advanced settings that the average Joe like me can’t seem navigate through and understand. I wish ya’ll could make those extra settings easier to navigate and have more options for things people don’t normally think about like NAT type, so I don’t have to spend forever trying to learn how to port forward.

This modem router took less than 15 mins to setup and now it runs seamlessly throughout our house. We have 5 devices on it right now and the speeds is always great.

Fine Router/ Modem for the price

We replaced an older Netgear router with this Nighthawk AC 1900 for improved speed and coverage. Set up was a little troublesome trying to use both the Nighthawk app and the Xfinity app in conjunction. After 3-4 attempts we got it to work(about 45 minutes). The speed is fine, we should be able to get up to 400 mbps when we up our plan. Unfortunately, we don’t see the improved coverage we hoped for. Our previously Router claimed it had a 1200 square foot coverage that struggled to reach both ends of the house(1350 sq ft), this Router claims 1800 ft coverage and we don’t notice much difference. For the price, It’ll definitely do the job for a few years.
