Love the Simplicity

I hate mopping my floors. So I would vacuum and spot clean noticeable areas that the floor vacuum couldn’t clean. Because this mop is so simple I just grab it off of the wall and do a quick steaming in the high traffic areas.
It doesn’t make the grout between the tiles magically white but it does a better job than a mop and I’ll use it more often.
Pros: Nontoxic - pets won’t be licking house cleaner off their paws. Lightweight - easy to hang on the wall and care upstairs. Preheats fast and is easy to change out the cleaning pad. Stands up on it’s own without having to lean it against something.
Cons: Needs treated water if you live in a hard water area, however it doesn’t need much water to cover a large area. I just use our treated bottle water and it seems to work fine. Cleaning pads need their own wash cycle. The steam just comes out of the middle section of the pad so middle section cleans better than edges.

Worked great, right up until the warranty date

I purchased the steam mop one year and 7 days ago. Using it two days ago, the mop was failing to steam and the handle action that generates the steam just wasn't working. I cam here to look into a warranty repair only to learn I'm 7 days late. It was great while it lasted, which compared to other Shark products I've purchased was not long enough.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

An essential piece of cleaning equipment

We bought this when we bought our first home in 2022. 4 years later and it is still an essential part of our cleaning routine. We have 2 toddlers and always feel like we need to clean our floors for sanitary reasons but also because they're messy! The heat from the steam is great for getting sticky messes off the floor; and there are a lot of those around here! It's easy to use, light weight, and small enough to throw into a corner to store. The power cord is a decent length but I wish it was just a bit like longer.
I would recommend getting a couple replacement pads so if one is in the wash there's another one clean.

It is still new with me. The old one also worked fine in the begining. These machines are not overused since I used them in my vacation home. I don't see any difference yet, compared to my old one except that the color of the water tank is darker. I will have to wait and see.

Takes out stains.

Nice, easy to use. Only problem is pads get dirty quick and then basically spread it around. Need multiple pads to get floors cleaned.

What a Waste

I received this product when I purchased another larger product (carpet shampoo machine). While it did sway me at the time to make that purchase (I was already in the market for a carpet cleaner), I would not repeat the purchase. The steamer I had from shark worked great but it is no longer available neither are the pads, or I would still be using it.
This is a great let down for a shark product. And because I have used and liked shark for a long time, I went ahead and bought two extra mop heads so that I always had one available. Now it looks like I totally wasted that money. Here's why:
1. there is no on/off button
2. there is no ability to have a built in cleaning product (like my old one)
3. in order to get steam you have to pump the handle... so you pump the handle, it steams for a little bit, then you have to pump the handle again...and again...and again.
4. there is no way to determine the amount of steam you want (like the old one) It seem like, although I could be wrong, when you stop to pump it, if you pump it several times you will get a fuller amount of steam coming out.
5. it has a much smaller water reservoir, so you have to continually stop to refill it for bigger jobs.
6. it has a much smaller length of cord, so for doing big jobs you are forced to relocate the plug more frequently.

No. There is not one good thing that I can say about this machine, except I will have to look elsewhere for my next steamer if this is the kind of junk that Shark is going to put out.
I wholeheartedly do NOT recommend this machine to anyone. If I could give it 5 negative stars I would. Just keep looking!

Works wonderfully

I've had this for several months. Got it as a promotion when I purchased my new vacuum! I must say that for large areas you need several pads because they pick up A LOT of dirt!!!! I do love it. Mostly use it in my smaller rooms and for spot cleaning but it's amazing! The cord is not as long as i would like but nothing else bad to say!
I would recommend this to a friend!
