I recieved this vacuum, tried it , and it’s overheating. If I could, I wouldn’t leave any star. Don’t waste your money.

Terrible design

I was very excited about this vacuum. I currently have a battery powered stick vacuum that has done well but is ready for an upgrade. I did try it and the suction was good on this vacuum but it is to top heavy and would not stand on its own. You would have to rest it on the wall or floor if you needed to walk away or move something. I need something more stable. I had to return it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Major feature doesn't work well

It's light and powerful enough. However, It is not swivel with ease. Much harder to move than my other Shark. It takes too much work to move a light vacuum. I'd love to trade it in for an easy swival and heavier weight!

Great at what it does but build quality is lacking

This stick vac is great for what it does but build quality is lacking. This vacuum is not like its German competition in terms of build quality. Care has to be taken in using it, so you don't break it. Repairs are tedious to impossible per many online videos I've seen for Shark vacuumss. However, it does pick-up a good amount of dust. For flooring in my house, I still use a broom to push debris from the walls and corners to the middle of the floor and then have the vacuum suck it up. Attachments and filters are pricey. I suggest you buy refurbished parts and/or attachments and search A****N for compatible filters that cost a lot less. Suction is good for its size and weight and it is convenient for dusting provided you have the correct attachments. Emptying the dust canister is a bit of a messy affair. I use the hose from my regular full-size vacuum to clean it out. I like that hair does not get easily stuck in the rollers of this stick vacuum. Using this vacuum, It is a lot easier to clean awkward parts of a room that are harder to reach with a heavier, full-size vacuum, which is a problem with all the electronics collecting dust on our desks and tables. For long cleaning sessions this is a better option than a cordless vacuum and a better value.
