This is the first Shark vacuum I’ve bought. I had trouble with assembly as some illustrations were too small to clearly show how to put the vac together. Once, I got the vac together I discovered that I had cut my hand during the process. Unappreciative of that. Standing fully upright the vac is awkwardly tall for a short person because of the wand. I think connecting the power cord at the top makes me concerned about the wear and tear at this point. I like the bright headlight! And I’m glad for the quieter motor over all other vacs I’ve owned. The low nozzle design allows for easy pivoting under furniture which I like. However, the handheld vac attached at the top of the wand makes the vacuum top-heavy leading to not complete control of the vacuum itself. Dust cup is easy to remove and dump. Including the precision duster as a part of the overall package is not a tool I would find all that useful. I would rather that it be an “available accessory”. Other available accessories would be more useful to me.

The vacuum is SO loud, it’ll make your ears hurt. The suction is alright but the handheld part of the sweeper gets really hot too. It almost seems like the hotter it gets the louder it gets or vice versa. I don’t see that this vacuum is the one to get, especially for how much it costs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the most amazing vacuum I have ever use. I have a dog and a cat +3 small children in my home. It gets up every little crumb every piece of hair and leaves my floors looking sparkling clean. I very highly recommend this product.

Over heats

I bought this a few months back. Ever since I bought this vaccum I have regretted it. I own a house cleaning company and thought this would be great for kitchens, I have only bought and used shark vaccums for my business the past 8 years . The quality seems to be going down hill . I cannot even vaccim a whole room without this particular vaccum overheating which is a horrible thing when you have 3 levels to clean of hard wood floors .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Noisy powerful vacuum

I expected more from Shark, which is a brand I trust. This vacuum, yes, does clean well — powerful suction. But it gets VERY hot as I use it (and I like to vacuum often) and it gets VERY noisy— it’s like cleaning with an angry relative. The dust cup empties fine, which is a plus.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great performance on both Hardwood & area rugs!

I've had my Shark 2 weeks & I love it so far. I
really like how I can get under my low sofas. I bought it for my hardwood floor thinking it only had fins, not brushes. I am hoping the brushes are soft enough not to scratch my floor. I do wish you could turn the brush roll off completely. It really finds the dust & dog hair! I use it for hard floors & area rugs. It is a bit pricey & I'm still getting used to the fact it doesn't stand up. So far so good, we will see how long it lasts!
