Disappointing
on June 12, 2024
Posted by: Jojo
Looked at these for a long time, but received as a housewarming gift. Started out nice, but after 6 months of use, our most used pans are no longer nonstick. Handwashed only, no metal utensils and not stacked when stored. Disappointing for sure, especially for the price. I have other Ninja/Shark products that I love. Just not this cookware set.

Coating lifted?!

I bought this set 4 months ago and the coating in the large pot lifted exposing the ceramic underneath. I have never used hard material utensil in this pot. It just lifted from sitting in my dish rack after a wash. I am not amused with this as it’s supposed to be life time.

Good not great.

I bought this set a year ago after moving and replacing our previous ninja set which we LOVED. I waited to see how it would fair. I am a bit disappointed in its performance. When we first purchased I tried cooking an egg the way it said you could. Can't remember if it were without oil or what it was but it did indeed need whatever it was it was lacking. Now about a year and week later, the coating is waring away. This is with extreme regard to the instructions. We never put it in the dishwasher (we don't have one), never dunked it into water while hot, no abrasive cleaners, allowed it to cool before washing (faired well for cleaning the rest of the kitchen) etc. We were very mindful, very attentive, the results are not very demure. I loveee ninja products usually and look forward to their releases when my budget allows. Though their recent releases have been disappointing too. Why have the European version of the Ninja luxe include an option for tea and the not the US version? I was hoping to upgrade to FINALLY have my steam wand and espresso option but not my TEA?! Insane. My current Ninja coffee machine has an option for hot water for tea but no steam wand, no espresso, no cold brew. Why would I make the jump from that to a machine that's way more expensive with less applicable features? Anyways, the pots/pans coatings are wearing off and now I'm unsure if I can continue to use them.

Ceramic chipping!

I’ve only had my pans for less than a year and the ceramic on the inside is chipping. I am very particular on what is used inside of my pans. I don’t allow silverware or any kind of metal being used in my pans. This is very upsetting and I don’t know how this has happened.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My favorite pans ever!
on January 11, 2025

I use these multiple times a day and they are my absolute favorite cookware to date, and I’ve purchased a LOT in my lifetime. They are heavy bottomed so heat distributes evenly, are well made and VERY easy to clean. I like the glass lids so I can see how the food is doing, like a rice dish, without lifting the lid.
I examined every pan when removing them from the box and all were in perfect condition. The instructions say to use some sort of protective material between the pots/pans to protect from chipping or scratches if nesting when storing, so please be sure to do that to protect your cookware. The cardboard used in the box to protect the pieces would work great. I am using a pan divider that keeps them separate. Reading the instructions will extend the life of this cookware.
Some reviews indicated the pans are not nonstick, however, I have found them to be excellent when following the directions. When cooking in the frying pans for instance it is imperative to preheat the pan for several minutes first as instructed and to use a oil/butter but NOT spray oil in pressurized cans from the store because they contain ingredients that can make food stick to the enamel. If using only a small amount of oil/butter, distribute it around the pan with a small piece of paper towel or a silicone brush OR use a manual oil sprayer that you fill with your preferred oil. The only thing I’ve noticed is if only using a light spray of oil or dab of butter with a fried egg, I need to lift the egg out after one side is cooked, spray or swipe the used paper towel around again and then flip the egg in — but if using more oil or butter to start with, this won’t be necessary. This wasn’t necessary to do when I made omelets because omelets need to cook longer before flipping over. I don’t mind doing this at all if it means using cookware that isn’t made with poisonous materials.
This cookware is EXTREMELY easy to wash. Even when I made homemade cheese and broccoli soup, it washed out easily.
The pot handles stay nice and cool. The only minor suggestion I have is to possibly add a silicone sleeve to the lid handles so a potholder isn’t needed to lift the lids, but many high end pans don’t have this either so it’s not a deal breaker for me.

I have the larger one and found it too heavy. This one is perfect. The finish is fantastic except for the outside and bottom. You must make sure to keep those clean.
