This mount is very heavy duty but the 48\ TV I was mounting only weighed 17 lbs so cannot say about a heavy TV. I had no problem extending the arm and swinging the TV to one side so it was 90 degrees to the wall. This single arm with the off center attachment to the wall bracket comes in very handy for applications where you want to swing the TV to the side. You could swing the TV almost 180 degrees so it can be watched from either side of a room or anywhere in between. I plan to buy another for a customer that wants to put a TV in an older TV Cabinet that has an opening smaller than the TV. The TV will be outside the cabinet but will need to extend so you can get to the wires. The long arm and off center attachment will allow me to mount it to the side of the cabinet since it is too deep to put at the back.If I had a very heavy TV and it just needed to move in and out with smaller left and right swing I would use a twin arm for more strength."

I love this model, it handles a wide range of sizes up to 70 inch, and can be adjusted almost any direction you could want. It almost doesn't matter how accurately you drill the initial holes because it will adjust to whatever you want. (Still take your time and mount it straight and responsibly.) The long arm lets it slide left and right along the wall to compensate where you want it in the room. and It will also extend pretty far away from the wall. It tilts up and down and It will even rotate tilt to adjust the left side of the tv up or the right side of the tv up. It is sturdy and even has room to install a low voltage outlet right in the middle of the mount. Don't waste the rest of your life with a flat against the wall mount that you can't see behind to plug in your HDMI cables. Build quality is very solid for something hidden behind your TV. It is plenty strong and comes with a lot of different screws and bolts for different TV sets and mounting options.

Just got done installing.beat my expectations. installed in a corner had a similar wall bracket but would not allow me to move my new Samsung 55 inch 90 degrees to the wall. This this one does with plenty of room to spare. (mounted on TV bracket offset). As others have said get yourself some better lag bolts.

BUY NEW LAG BOLTS

Would have been 5 stars but the first lag bolt that I was putting into the wall stud broke. Do your self a big favor and head to the local hardware store and buy new lag bolts. The ones included are very poor quality. Otherwise very well built and solid wall mount.

This is a heavy duty wall mount bracket that allows my 60 inch flat screen TV ( width 54 inches) to be positioned to a 60-65 degree angle off the wall. This is ideal for a corner mounting position and provides a great viewing angle in relation to our seating arrangements . It also has a 15 degree tilt capability, which allows for a higher positioning of the TV. The frame that holds the TV itself allows for tweak adjustments after installation which is awesome. The level on the bracket ,that is lag bolted to the wall, is okay but I found using a reliable 4' level easier. Having another set of hands to hold the bracket in position definitely makes marking and mounting easier. We are very pleased with this product and would definitely recommend it.
