Used to be better.

The paint is great -- same as it's always been, but recently the brush has been replaced with a piece of garbage. The old brush used to come to a lovely point, and this one looks like the tail of an angry cat. Bummer. I'm unlikely to buy this again, unless they change the brush quality back.

Great metallic colors BUT they remain sticky.

We spent a lot of time and energy painting beautiful cards. It's been over 3 weeks and the paint is still sticky so they can't be put in envelopes. Even the paints themselves do not dry in the pans.
Help! please.

Paint does not dry after it is activated

I have purchased many refills of the Oval 8 sets for my middle school art room. The newer formula paints do not dry after they are activated, and stay slimy in the pans. Also, the paint can be re-activated on the paper even after it is fully dry. Students often use too much, and their paper gets sticky as well. If they are not stored level, the paint flows out of the pans into the tray. Older refills (c. 1990) from a previous teacher do not react this way. Also, I recently purchased turquoise and magenta refills to add to my pans, and they are a different formula and don't blend easily with the oval 8 colors.

Product issue! Upsetting a lot of students!

I ordered these for 3 grades of students in my school since due to Covid, they need their own supplies. They are defective! They were fine when I checked them in and packed them, but even before the students used them, the turquoise and the yellow turned to liquid! It is happening to a few each week. All the other colors are fine so it's not a temperature issue because our school has heat and AC and the temp is constant. I am waiting to hear from my supplier how to resolve the issue. In the meantime, they are a mess! the 8 color sets have been fine.

Almost impossible to get glitter on your paper

I bought dozens of these for my students. We were so disappointed. The palette looks amazing! But it’s almost impossible to transfer that pretty glitter onto the paper. A huge waste.

Fun glitter paint!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love playing with paints, as I like to use it in my art work quite often to help my artwork pop. This washable paint set features glitter paint, which is so fun and nice from the usual paints I work with. I enjoy the portable packaging, as the packaging is slim and easy to hold as well as carry with me when i am on the go. The packaging also has a clear lid, which helps you see the colors below which there are 8 different shades of paint. They also include a nice paintbrush that works really well with the paint, I am glad they included a brush, as I lose mine quite often. The shades included are nice and pigmented with a variety of colors from gold and silver to blues and greens and red shades. I like using these in my coloring books as well as on my canvases for pops of color with glitter and shimmer. Using this set is super easy, the top unclasps and the paint is uncovered to use with water, and the paint brush. These paints are already a bit moist on their own, but adding a bit of water really lets the pigment color flow onto the paint brush. The paint mixes easily and coats the brush really well too, as well as the glitters. I get nice and even color when I am applying to my pages and canvases and the glitter is a nice feature. I like to mix the color with a slight touch of the silver and gold colors, to add even more shimmer which is beautiful. The paint is not sticky, and not messy at all which is nice from the usual paints I use. I recommend this set to anyone young or old who is looking for a fun paint set, glitter makes everything much more fun and interesting! I thoroughly enjoy this set, and will be using it until I run out of paint!
