It's not the same Symmetry case I had on my last five iPhones. Plus, I was not too fond of the cutout for the camera button. I returned the case, and I am looking for something else.

Not like it used to be - camera button is terrible

I’ve used the Symmetry case for my iPhone Pro Max for years (11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and now 16). I’ve recommended them to everyone for being durable and just enough rubber sides to grip, but not be sticky. IYKYK. Just enough lip to protect the face when laying flat.
This year for the 16 something has changed. It’s way too slippery on the sides. Sturdy still, but too much hard plastic. The camera button cutout is BRUTAL as the edge is sharp, exactly where your thumb goes to hold the phone with your right hand. After a minute it feels like it’s cutting the skin. Plus it’s hard to use the camera button with the way the notch is designed. Bummer to go another direction and return this. Loved Otter in the past. Maybe they’ll redo the case.

Did not like this at all, returned it. Have used exclusively otterbox cases for over a decade but the cutout for the new camera button on this one really is an issue. The phone is completely unprotected in that area and overall it's uncomfortable to hold like that. Strongly recommend these guys change this setup.

I have been repurchasing this style of Otterbox for my husband for more than 6 years, as it is his favorite. They have all been fairly good quality up until this one. It’s now incredibly thin and barely covers the phone. We were both in incredibly disappointed after unboxing and would return it if it didn’t cost to do so.

Nice case. I somehow dropped my phone and chipped the camera lens housing after installing this case so not sure how much I like that. I like the glitter of this case so it’s not just plain and you can see the phone color. It’s not as protective as it could be for the price. I’ve always used Otterbox or the Apple cases though and I guess I just use what I know. Other cases seem cheap compared tot here so probably would have worse luck with those. Overall I would recommend this case.

The camera button cutout is awful. Large gap in the case, awkward to hold, too much of a design flaw that I had to return it. First time in many years my phone won’t be in an otterbox case.

It works. I dropped my phone face down on a hard surface and it was fine, but there's this little part at the new button area that is open so the edge just kept getting caught on everything. My pocket, my purse, my wallet, my cup holder in my car. I already replaced it.
