Stunning picture quality that does not hurt your e

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have recently bought Samsung 65 inch QLED and we are very happy with the purchase. We got it during holiday season sale and its worth the price we paid. The picture quality is very good and I like QLED better that OLED because QLED does not strain my eyes. AI features and Taizen OS ecosystem integration with rest of Samsung products works like magic. I highly recommend this TV.

True Theatre Visual Experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a Samsung fan, the 85-inch Neo QLED is the 5th Samsung TV and our crown jewel. If you’re on the fence about the size, don’t be—it turns your living room into a literal private theater. The first thing that blew me away was the sheer clarity. Even with older movies that aren't natively 4K, the AI upscaling does a phenomenal job of sharpening the image without making it look "fake" or over-processed.
The brightness is where this TV really wins. Our living room has massive windows, and our old set used to be unwatchable during the day due to reflections. This screen handles glare like a champ; the colors stay vibrant and the blacks stay deep even in high noon sun. Speaking of blacks, the contrast is incredible. Watching sci-fi or dark thrillers, there’s zero "blooming" around bright objects on dark backgrounds. It’s just crisp, inky, and immersive.
The "Movie Mode" and "Filmmaker Mode" are game-changers for anyone who wants to see the film exactly how the director intended. Every detail, from skin textures to background landscapes, looks lifelike. Plus, the Tizen interface is fast and makes switching between apps seamless. It’s a massive footprint, but the slim design makes it look like a piece of art on the wall rather than a bulky appliance. If you want that "wow" factor every time you turn on the TV, this is it. Best purchase I've made in years!

Not good.

I was super excited to get my first 85” TV. I did the pre-work to prepare the wall where I was going to hang it. I got an appropriate sized wall mount and installed it. The TV came and it was definitely big and heavy, so I would need a helping hand. I finally got it up on the wall. Once I powered it on, it was bright and vivid. And that’s where the good news ends. I didn’t realize what I was getting when I purchased an AI enhanced picture. Everything was grainy and there was were these weird, subtle fluctuations in the picture. Then I noticed the small, bizarre picture anomalies. Textures were off and I saw the weird AI face abnormalities on distant faces, distortions that were typical of AI image generation. I was so disappointed. I just wanted to try to get the screen to be normal, so I tried to turn off all AI settings. I succeeded in getting rid of the AI motion blurring artifacts, but the weird textures and distortions remain. I’m really disappointed. I want a refund or a TV with no AI enhancement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Response from Samsung USBy Samsung SpecialistOctober 27, 2025
catroast,

We appreciate your input on the picture quality of Samsung’s QN80F TV. If the image isn’t meeting your expectations, there are several adjustments you can make to improve your viewing experience.

First, please ensure your TV is running the latest firmware, as updates may include important picture quality enhancements. Go to: Home > Left directional button > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now

Then, select a Picture Mode that best fits your environment: Home > Home > left directional key > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
1. Standard – Default mode for general viewing
2. Dynamic – Brighter and clearer in well-lit rooms
3. Eco – Optimized for energy saving
4. Movie – Best for watching in dark environments
5. Filmmaker Mode – Preserves content exactly as intended by creators

You can also enhance your experience by enabling AI Mode, which automatically adjusts picture and sound based on your surroundings and usage patterns: Settings > All Settings > Advanced Features > AI Mode Settings > AI Mode

If these adjustments don’t improve your picture quality, feel free to contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, available 8AM – 12AM EST, 7 days a week. You can also LiveChat with an agent or find helpful guides by visiting the ‘Support’ section of our website.
