It's light weight, picks up well but I think it's just good for light carpets and floors. I have a thick carpet upstairs and although it vacuum it, it was too small for a thick carpet. Good for stairs and couch. I didn't like the noise it makes while vacuuming the floor from the wheels. But it worked well on the small rug in front of the couch. And because of the small size and light weight it will be convenient for spills.
