Cute cast and outfit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like that this Barbie has a cast, and her shoes are much different than I’ve seen before- loafers but pale pink with realistic sculpted details. The cast is removable with semi-soft bendable plastic, but also has some hardness that keeps its shape. The design on the cast has a realistic wrapped gauze pattern that is visible and textured.
Her hair is soft medium blonde, and a little bit wavy near the ends. The makeup paint on her face closeup is a little pixelated with her eyes, eyebrows and lips, but it still looks realistic.
Her outfit is a two-piece separate skirt and vest set which fully detaches in the back with micro hook-in-loop closures. The clothing feels like denim- a firm fabric, but still flexible. The print is a plaid pink, light blue and white pattern. she has a regular style body shape with flat feet.
I like the inclusiveness of having a doll with a removable cast.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Barbie fashionista Doll #243 with the Pink Arm Cast and Plaid Top and Skirt was the perfect gift for my granddaughter. Unfortunately, she had just hurt her arm recently and had to have a cast put on. Thanks to Mattel and the Barbie Brand she now has a matching Barbie and they both have pink casts. Her face lit up when she saw that Barbie had the same cast as her. This doll is well made. She can stand and sit on her own. The cast is removable and can come off when my granddaughter gets hers taken off. I love that this Barbie sparks so much imaginative play in my granddaughter.

A New Favorite for the Dreamhouse!

She is just starting to explore imaginative play with Barbies, and this doll immediately captured her attention. What stood out most to me is the message of inclusion. She’s currently struggling with self confidence issues and perfectionism and seeing this beautiful barbie with an arm cast was so good for her. It helped me open up the conversation with her about what it means to be beautiful and what it means to be perfect. I also noticed her using her imaginative play to model kindness towards the Barbie with the cast. What an amazing way to use play to incorporate important lessons.
