New Chemical Taste

I’ve been drinking this for 25 years. It was my absolute favorite but my mom made me a cup at her house November 2019 and I noticed a strong chemical smell. Almost like someone dumped glass cleaner in the coffee. Since then I bought my own can thinking it would be different but it is not. Something has changed and it is terrifying to smell and taste!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Taste & Smell Has Changed for the Worst!

My dad has been drinking this coffee for over 30 years. Recently the last 3 batches have smelled and tasted different. We no longer smell the coffee the same as it is brewing and the coffee grains themselves also smell different. The most dramatic though is the taste. It no longer tastes like coffee, to my dad it is now undrinkable. Unfortunately we are now forced to change coffee after 30 years!!! Crazy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Reliable Mainstream Coffee

For over 3 decades I have made Folgers Classic Roast my go-to daily morning coffee. Oh I have tried many brands of other coffees and many of them are excellent but I have literally made and consumed hundreds of pounds of this coffee. If I had not tried this brand I would get myself a reliable coffee maker and try some out ! You will not be disappointed !

Started with this back in the day best bang for the buck as it’s available in the biggest container. I gravitate now towards black silk and noir as I prefer darker coffee now.

Like drinking hot water

I 100% agree with the review from mictrust. And I never leave reviews but after reading that one and then the response that it could somehow be someone else’s fault, I knew I must write to say we are experiencing the SAME.
I have been a long time Folger’s drinker as well,30+ yrs, even telling my friends “I’ll put my Folgers up against your “5bucks” any day!! But the last 2 canisters I bought have been horrible. Like drinking hot water with NO taste. We keep a canister at home, and one in our classroom at church….and we buy the big ones.
I’m guessing we will have to buy another brand to mix with them or simply toss.
I got on the site hoping to find an explanation of some sort….like maybe something happened to cause this fluke and all will be back to normal soon.
Please someone help! The best part of waking up is no longer Folgers in my cup.
