Coffee tastes like chemicals

I have always enjoyed Folgers coffee until this most recent purchase. Coffee has a chemical taste and is practically undrinkable. It also leaves a lingering unpleasant after taste.
We eliminated bad milk, bad water, dirty coffee maker. The common denominator is the coffee.
It's very disappointing when you look forward to that first cup of coffee every morning. Made worse by the fact that the price of the coffee has increased by 35% in one year

Wow…something is different! 🤢

Spent my childhood mornings waking to the wonderful aroma of Folgers Classic Roast, and started enjoying it myself as a teen. It’s the only coffee my dad would drink (brewed thru a Bunn). I revisited Folgers recently and it was shockingly bad. The grounds weren’t as fine, the “fresh can” smell was dull and off. The taste…YIKES! It was like burnt popcorn with plastic! It reminded me of hotel room coffee in the little pouches - good enough to get you on the road until you could find a proper cup of coffee. Couldn’t even make it thru 2 cups. Very disappointing. No thank you.

Wood splinter

I grew up with Folgers and have always enjoyed the nostalgia. The scent reminds me of my grandparents who passed. That being said, it doesn't smell the same. Today, I found a wood fragment nearly an inch long in my Classic Roast canister. Is there filler in the coffee now? Is this even safe to drink? I am considering taking the canister to the lab for testing. Big quality issues.

Excessively Declined Quality

I have drank Folgers for over 20 years and now it is just gross. Crap flavour, crap consistency, and as bad as the no name stuff you can get for half the price (yes I noticed you doubled the price over the past couple of years!) I gave 2 stars instead of just 1 because I am feeling generous today. Good bye Folgers!

Bring Back Quality and Taste

If Folgers classic recipes has been a blend of arabica and robusta beans for smooth non bitter non burnt taste then WHY does the container only list robusta beans? It has drastically changed flavor for the worse, costs more, and new investigative pod casters are reporting moldy beans as well as stale beans sold to us. I even purchased a Bunn brewing machine thinking the slow brew machine was burning coffee before it finished making a ten cup pot. Nope...

Burnt

I remember when I was a kid my mom would open the coffee can and it would smell so good and then the aroma would kick off when brewing and would make the whole house smell good. It tastes so good too. Well I'm 41 years old and now and Folgers is garbage. You open the coffee and immediately you're hit with a smell of burnt coffee smell and it tastes just like it smells... burnt. I'm so So disappointed.

My family used to love the Folgers Columbian Med-Dark ground coffee - just as my grandparents/parents did. Now they don't even make it and what they sell is bitter, acidic and not smooth or flavorful at all!! Bring back an enjoyable, smooth, full-flavored coffee that isn't bitter!! We keep trying it, but with the price increases, we're now looking for a brand who will provide what you no longer do.
