Something bad has happened!

I would have given 5 stars. I'm a very long time folgers coffee drinker and I drink coffee ALL DAY. Lately I've noticed i will open a can and it smells and tastes fine until about half way through - this is where things go wrong. The smell is putrid the taste is even worse. I ha e never ever had this problem in the past. Its absolutely disgusting. Almost like it's being filled half way with nasty coffee and then the top half with delicious folgers. I threw the first can away that was half full thinking it went bad but now I'm on a whole new can and the same thing is happening. Very very dissatisfied right now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Something's changed

Have been using Folgers for years as my wake me with a smile coffee. Started smelling a Barbeque smell though and took a minute to realize it was coming from my coffee pot. Am wondering if chicory was recently added, or if there was some mistake?

Something changed big time.

I have been happily drinking this coffee for years. Recently purchased 3 each, 3 lb cans. All have date codes of October 2021 (cans were not all purchased at the same time but over the course of a month). All three have a horrible acrid smell and test. I tried to drink a bit of one, and actually made me a little sick. Same smell in each of the three cans. Something definitely has gone wrong here.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My first cup every morning

I ran out of my brand, Folgers Classic roast medium blend, didn't wake up without that initial burst of flavor, went back to bed, and slept until noon. I need my java to open my eyes. Thank you, Folgers.

I am glad to see that I am not the only one that says your coffee is not like it use to be, I also bought a new coffee maker,, and a new storage container & it is still not the same as it use to be. I think it is time for a change.

What's happened to our family's favorite coffee???

Something very bad has happened to our morning mainstay!
For generations, both my husband's and my own, have boasted about Folger's Classic Roast being the only coffee that is just plain wonderful coffee. In fact, we've been known to travel miles out of the way, just to get a cup of this (once-upon-a-time) perfect joe -- alas, no more!
A couple of months ago, we invested (invested, because of the huge price increases of late) in twelve giant (51OZ.) tubs for our business and personal enjoyment. However, instead of that heavenly coffee "whoof" when one first pulls back that silver protective lining, we have been knocked out by an acrid, chemical-plastic odor!
Furthermore, when it is brewing, the fumes are overwhelmingly epoxy -- in other words, the coffee aroma is overpowered with an epoxy-like odor that is very toxic.
One of my favorite things in the morning is to wake up the smell of beautiful, delicious, and healthy coffee brewing in our Bunn. Alas, no more -- so, this morning I had had enough (hence, this review) --
As with most mornings lately, we had to throw the whole thing out and wash everything the coffee had touched. The toxicity of the grounds we have experienced in several of these tubs has even lead us to doctors -- we have been experiencing swollen tongues, etc. indicative of having ingested a toxic substance.
After extensive research, we have located the source, Folger's Classic Coffee!
Please, please, do something because we really love your coffee and your company, but we can no longer drink it because it is damaging our health!
As far as storing, brewing, etc . . . we always store them in a cool, dark, and dry location. The brewing is done in either a very clean, well-maintained Bunn coffee maker - or - a stainless steel French press. The results are the same. Thus, as someone earlier stated: Something very wrong has happen to this once beautiful mainstay, Folger's Classic Coffee. Very sincerely, a life-long customer.

I am not the coffee drinker in our home, my husband is. He has been drinking Folgers forever. Recently the smell when brewing horrible. He says it doesn't taste right either. I like the Folgers Cappuccino but even that has a nasty smell. I wanted to see if I was crazy or if this was some strange after effect of us having Covid that effected our scent & taste but I see that we are not the only ones. You gotta fix this or we gotta switch.
