Where is the Classic Roast in Mild???

Every container I’ve bought or looked at in the classic roast is in Medium or darker roasts. What happened to Mild? It’s still printed on the label like they make it, but I can’t find it anywhere unless I buy “Breakfast Blend” which is ok, but not the Classic I have loved for over 15 years. I seem to not be alone in the reviews that Folger’s coffee has changed, sadly. It’s not shipped or packaging, it’s flavor that has changed. Where’s my mild Folger’s Classic??!

Way too weak!

We’ve experienced the coffee being way too weak now. We’ve used Folgers over 30 years and never had this problem before. Please, we want our old Folgers back!

This is the only coffee i drank for 20 years now i thought i was going crazy thinking my taste and smell were off until i came to the comments! My house used to smell amazing when i brewed now theres no smell, ok fine. The taste seemed off and i started to get congested for some reason and its only when i drink this coffee. The ground beans dont even smell when i open the canister. Sad i have to figure out another coffee to drink

Had to try a small can of Folgers again for nostalgia’s sake. I used to really enjoy the flavor and the aroma of this classic brand. But this stuff tastes like an ash tray now! Shame on you for cost-cutting this iconic brand into the ground. Enjoy your profits, Mark!

Changed recipe, burnt wood filler taste

Their recipe has changed. It has a strong burnt wood ash like flavor. have been drinking Folger's classic blend for 20+ years, but this winter the recipe changed and it tasted awful. Thought perhaps it was a one off container or batch, so purchased another container at a different store, and it too had this terrible taste. Personally, it tastes like they're adding a wood pulp to off set the weight and cost of beans to keep the price low. It's understandable, but it negated my brand loyalty and will no longer purchase this. Have gone to grinding beans, much better. If you have the same experience, it would be nice to read.

Something's different lately

What gas changed? We have always liked Folgers Classic, but the last few months we have noticed that it no longer has a fresh coffee smell. The odor is ashy and once brewed has a weak coffee smell and a taste I can best describe as sawdust.

Actually Undrinkable Now

Yucky! I used to think Folgers was the best smelling and a pretty good tasting coffee, but I just bought a can and it smelled like chemicals right out of the can, and it tastes like super bitter chemicals. I feel like I'm drinking road tar-flavored water. Not sure what happened, but this seems consistent with all the other recent 1-star reviews.
They must've had an oopsie at the plant and don't want to admit it, or quality control has just gone to pot.

Something seems off

I’ve been a longtime fan over 30yrs of this coffee, but unfortunately, something seems off with the latest batch. The last 4 cans I purchased something don’t seem right. The robust, rich flavor I once loved has noticeably faded. Now it comes across as weak and watered down, with a lingering bitterness that wasn’t there before. Occasionally, when I open the can, there’s a faint, off aroma that hints something in the roasting or packaging process has changed. It’s disappointing to see a favorite coffee lose its signature strength and depth. If you changed the process or added something to it or replaced the beans with a cheaper bean the consumers know. Especially when you are a lifelong Folgers drinker. Very disappointed and unfortunately going to have to switch brands.
