Classic Roast - Not the same

I have been using classic roast for years. The last container 30.5 ounce with use by date of Jan 23, 2023 was the same great taste.
The new 48 ounce purchased a week ago with a use by date of Jun 17, 2023 is awful. Way too strong and bitter.
Either a different blend got put in the wrong container or it's just a bad batch, I can only drink this by cutting way back on the amount I put in the basket.
I still have both containers so I could provide the product information stamped on the bottom of the containers if that helps.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor inspection

50 plus years of using Folgers. Purchased a 48 oz classic a couple weeks ago, this morning I find a 3/4" x 1/16" object. Not good inspection. Guess that's why it hasn't been tasting right.

Folgers has changed something. It's not fresh nor have that Columbian smell all over the house like it used too. Also slowly cheating us out of the amount, like in the ounces! Containers are smaller and smaller.
I would recommend this to a friend!

However, please note that the weight has been adjusted due to new roasting technology that maximizes each bean, resulting in lighter coffee grounds. Despite this, you still get the same number of servings per canister, so you’re not losing any cups to enjoy.

Bitter, ashy, burnt?

I buy Folgers classic roast religiously for years. I rec’d a tub with best before Dec 25 2025. The coffee smells weird and tastes like an ashtray with the worst aftertaste. I picked up another today. Best before Dec 8 2025 so a younger can. It is as expected. Wonderful. I wondered if I got a bad batch but now reading these comments I’m concerned my good can is a one off. Seeing it was produced prior to my bad can.

Sad decline in quality

I have been drinking Folgers my entire. Recently, I have noticed that the past three cans have been absolutely undrinkable. Folgers continues to rise in price, but we’re seeing a decline in quality.

Not the best part of waking up anymore!!

My family it’s only Folgers. My mom bought 12 large classic roast and I bought 3. And tore but 2 different locations. Brewed exactly the same but my grounds smell terrible! Like a nasty rancid burnt . Before you brew it . After it tastes horrible . Worse than a bad cup of coffee. Literally makes me nauseous. Did I just get the bad batch? Or is this the way it is now?

Not good anymore
