There chairs are poorly designed. Their marketing states that these are designed for everyday living but within a few months of buying these, all of our chairs have a ton of play. We've owned everything from 1920s barley twist oak chairs to inexpensive Ikea chairs but none of those chairs ever had any play in them. These are held together with screws and dowels rather than traditional wood joints, which is understandable at this price. But they should be so loose that even tightening all screws does nothing to improve the looseness.
