These are beautiful chairs. We have gotten a lot of compliments on them. Something to consider - if you have small children, the finish on these doesn't hide much. You can see finger prints/smudges from greasy fingers easily. My two year old nephew ate pizza at our house and let's just say you could tell exactly what chair he sat at. Other than that, no complaints!
These chairs are not what we expected in terms of quality and color depiction. In the photos they appear a warm brown, in reality they are dingy grey. Also some of the pieces don't have consistent grain so it's obvious where they were glued together. After about 3 weeks of use the chair legs are becoming wobbly and loose. This isn't a screw lightening issue, it is the wood glue used at the factory, it's either poor quality or applied incorrectly. I am going to have to try to repair on my own. We had inexpensive wooden IKEA chairs that held up for 10 years. These are falling apart at 3 weeks. Last, the chairs were well packed in terms of protecting from damage but the amount of hard styrofoam used is beyond excessive. It's wasteful and will take us about 6 weeks to dispose of a little at a time in our trash. Kind of a big annoyance when you're a family that already fills up their trash every week without this mountain of wasteful packaging. Tried this company out, it was a mistake.
Purchased 10 (5x2) of the black Windsor dining chairs. They are beautiful, well made, sturdy, and easy to put together. Plus, you cannot beat the price! We matched them with a wood farmhouse table and they look fabulous. Even at the holidays Plank & Beam delivered quickly to our home, we were truly so pleased and will recommend to all of our family and friends. If you are looking for great style and comfort purchase these chairs.
