Soft Wood Not Durable

Beware that it seems most of not all of the wood products used by Plank and Beam are soft wood which means they ding and dent very easily! If you have small children this type of furniture is likely not for you. Additionally, this coffee table cracked in a couple spots after assembly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super pleased with this purchase. It’s high quality and nice wood but for the same low price as the MDF items on Wayfair. It was simple to put together and that’s rare with stuff you have to assemble on your own. The color also matches perfectly to our dining room table from Ashley furniture that is a very unique warm brown color. Love!

I really loved this piece

The table is absolute garbage. If you put anything on it, it will scratch. Avoid the brand ant all costs. You will waste your money.

I love the design and

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the design and and it is very easy to assemble. It is indeed solid wood BUT there are some drawbacks.
1. ) Fit - the pieces do did not align well. It's not a major drawback but I expected precision alignment given the price.
2. ) Finish - this is wood but the stain is so over saturated it is basically absent of wood grain which which really takes away from the fact this is solid wood. Further, there as some spots on the curvature of the legs that are UNDER stained which looks incomplete and unfinished. Somewhere in the middle is what all of us would want.

My toddler banged a toy on the top and it's dented. Well made, but not built to last with a family and usage of a coffee table. I wish it had a thicker top coat to prevent dents made so easily in a soft wood.
