Exceeded expectations

Bed is a really lovely color and feels solid. Didn't take very long to put together and was easy enough that my 6 yo could help too. Not as much head room underneath as I expected, but is more than many of the cheaper plywood loft bed versions.

Poor Mattress Support

The use of thin slats to support the mattress is a real disappointment. My wife weighs less than 100 lbs, but the slats made it incredibly uncomfortable for her, with a child safe mattress. They should really use a widder slat system for a bed that can support 400 lbs. Otherwise the construction and materials seem good.

High Quality Loft Bed

We put two loft beds in my sons' shared bedroom; they are sturdy and safe. My son said he ""tried to roll out of it"" the first night to ""test it,"" and found that he was unabel to do so - so while I obviously have other problems, worrying about loft safety isn't one of them. The space underneath is perfect for a study area or hang out space. We hired someone on Taskrabbit to put them together and it took about 4 hours for one knowledgable person to assemble two lofts.

The loft beds sound like the perfect mix of safety, practicality, and fun! I love that your son ""tested"" them on the very first night and that they passed with flying colors!
