The bed looks really nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bed looks really nice and is definitely pleasing to the eye. Assembly took a little longer than expected, but overall it wasn’t too difficult or hectic.
My main concern is with the design of the slats and the support pins underneath the bed. The pins are held in place by relatively small metal screws that only go about half an inch into the wooden pins. The pins also have solid rubber caps, which grip the floor very firmly.
Because of this, normal movement while lying or getting in and out of the bed can cause the wooden support pins to come loose from the screws. This is a pretty major flaw, especially because it can happen while you’re asleep. If one or two pins come off, the mattress can suddenly sink in that area, which could potentially be unsafe.
Overall, I like the look of the bed, but I think the support-pin design needs to be improved to make the bed more secure and safe during normal use.

Beautiful piece but a nightmare to assemble.

I know there are mixed reviews but my entire bed frame had no holes align during install. I had to rip holes through the covers to install the frame. Also, the zipper on the headboard cover broke as soon as I put it on. I was already so frustrated that I gave up on caring. It’s a nice frame but definitely not worth the money or time. It took my boyfriend and I about 4+ hours to assemble.

It’s true— assembly is difficult!

I was hoping my husband and I could be the exception to the reviews stating that it’s hard to assemble, but we were not! It took at least 6 hours for us to assemble this bed. The instructions themselves are easy to understand, but the difficulty was that the holes didn’t always align well, the fabric used to upholster would cover the actual holes so we had to cut through to get the screws in, and some of the screws should have been longer to help connect the harder to reach places. Our fingers and lower backs were pretty beat up! Aside from all that, once you’re done, it’s worth it and I’m happy with the look and sturdiness. Just be mentally and emotionally prepared— or pay for the assembly if you can afford it!

HORRIBLE

DO NOT BUY! We have been sleeping on this bed for less than a month and the bed has continuously been breaking! When we lift up the mattress to investigate all the wooden legs have fallen off and cause the bed to sink in! Tonight was the worst instance and we are now forced to sleep on the couch. As a pregnant lady this bed has been a nightmare. We have been loyal plank and beam customers in the past but that will be ending now. Such a disappointing product. I have attached a picture of what the base looks like when we lift up the mattress! We have tried to fix it multiple times and this continues to happen

Aesthetically exactly what I was

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Aesthetically exactly what I was looking for! BUT assembly was horrible. Holes in the wood did not line up, screws didn’t work, fabric holes weren’t even close to lining up to the point we had to just cut the fabric to make it work. It took two grown adults that are fairly handy almost 5 hours. Our mattress also doesn’t fully cover the wood slats. So just beware!
