Poor Quality

I bought them to take notes. I liked the fact that they were erasable. I had bought lead mechanical pencils previously but couldn't find any more, so when I saw these crayons, I was very happy. However, as soon as I started using them, the lead just kept breaking. ALL of the crayons keep breaking. I don't even apply a lot of force. Weird to say, but they are hard to control. The lead doesn't move smoothly through any kind of paper. The colours are super pale as well and don't look like the colours they're supposed to be. This was just a waste of money.

Yes, they are erasable, by everything. You can erase them with your finger or hand while you are drawing. I have not use a product this bad in a long time.

Terrible quality for majority of colors

I really love original Crayola colored pencils! I have a specific technique where I outline the borders with a heavy hand and color inside lighter but with these colors, I have to press so hard that my fingers cramp up to just get the color to show up let alone create the heavy borders. Really disappointed. I'm including a photo where the words in green were from different set of colored pencils and the rest is the erasable. Also, the range of colors is missing different shades of brown and only 1 shade of purple.

Awful pencils!!

I bought these colored pencils because Crayola has never let me down....until now! These pencils are just awful! The colors don't blend and don't even show up unless you use them on clean white paper. Don't bother trying to get one color to show up over another either! If that's not bad enough, erasing just tears tiny holes in your sketch paper! Sounded like a good idea....

Great for Sketching

I'm no kid but I love these pencils. I'm an artist, and I love to sketch in pencil... but gray is so boring. This is where the Crayola erasable colored pencils come in. I can have color and erasability, for fun colorful sketching! They hold a sharpen fairly well and are not too hard (my wrist aches if I have to press too hard). They however, are not good for blending. They are pretty waxy and do not layer. Not really a problem for me since that's not what I use them for. Anyway, I love these pencils. They erase better than artist-grade erasable colored pencils. I have a set of 12 that I always keep with me. Excited to see some new colors!

Impossible to sharpen
on February 7, 2024
Posted by: Get to the Point
The colors aren’t vibrant like a colored pen would be, so I understand that. But it does take a lot of effort to get color onto paper. They seem to have a high wax content or whatever is used to bind the pigment into a writable form.
My biggest complaint it that they are impossible to sharpen without breaking the lead off in the process. So basically you use them until they dull to nothing and they’re useless. No sharpener included. No instructions on how to sharpen to preserve lead integrity.
