Cute -- Needs to be sealed

Adorable hutch with plenty of room for bunnies! Smaller breeds you could put two same sex in each hutch - ultimately housing 4 rabbits. Currently I have two siblings in the same top hutch. The wood is rather thin which is fine except for that it makes the hutch rather light. We will be using this outdoors so we need to anchor this down. It comes "primed" but it is not sealed. I did caulk each and every seam and then painted over the wood with red and white paint (this matches all of our barns). You could just use a clear poly over the primer they sprayed it with. Be cautious when screwing the pieces together as the wood will easily split.
Overall I would buy it again...just know that it wont last for years and years and that it will need some exterior sealing to make it watertight and for the wood not to completely rot in one season!

Great Hutch... with some "Piggy-proofing"
on January 27, 2021

I was definitely skeptical before buying this hutch from all the reviews. I needed a separated hutch for my two male guinea pigs who cannot get along anymore (the younger one has decided that HE is dominant and will attack my older one if they are together) and my other setup was just an eyesore for my home office. It was pretty easy to put together and arrived much sooner than anticipated. It was a huge package and honestly, I'm surprised nothing was broken. I was expecting a long setup process with some broken, flimsy wood and wood glue... but that actually wasn't the case at all! If this weakling non-carpenter can do it... anyone can! A power drill was not needed but a regular screwdriver and hammer definitely are. I put it together myself but I think it would have been easier with two people, it's just a bit awkward to put together alone and I kinda scratched my floors a bit. On to the bad stuff about this hutch... not much honestly! I took some "creative liberties" with it though and chose to leave off that nasty green roof. It's definitely heavy (as others have said) and the little green roofing shingle rock- looking things fell off a bit and made a mess EVERYWHERE. So I decided against the roof. Noodle (the puff-ball on the top bunk) likes a room with a view anyway... I also left out the dividers that were included as a bit of a hut-like addition. This, I believe, is one of the dumbest parts of the hutch. Anyone with small animals like guinea pigs or rabbits will know that they chew on EVERYTHING! They would have destroyed these wooden dividers in a manner of days and ingested so many sharp pieces of wood. That to me is a BIG down-vote. I need my piggies safe and puncture-free. I also went out to my craft store (Michael's, to be specific, if you live in the US) and got some peel-and-stick felt to cover all the chewable areas of the hutch. I might end up getting more just to make the inside look a bit more presentable, but for now this works for me. As for cleanliness... they still kick out bedding, but they'd find a way to kick it out no matter what. Noodle and Smokey Bear seem to like their new hutch!

Quail and Chicken Brooder

Perfect system for a quail and chicken brooder. Allows separation and customization. I added grow lights for lighting, heat lamps clamped and attached to the exterior, as well as heat plates to the back wall. I also used water and food dispensers that attach to the outside of the coop thus less space taken up inside. Perfect for a garage brooder system!!

Very nice hutch , space saver

We got this hutch because we have two does who arnt spayed or bonded yet. This is a great way to maximize space and keep their hutches clean. Easy to put together , did it by myself , took about 30 mins. It was exactly what I expected. I also get to put my plants on top of it which is ideal for my window. Very cute hutch and it keeps the space cleaned. We just let them run around in the park evening.
