Great little machine

I have only had it for 3 hours and I like it! It is a replacement for my old CE4000, which finally died (I gave it a mock funeral) after 15 years. So far, I have done test stitching, reinforced a seam on a new shower curtain, and mended a pair of pants. I am not an expert seamstress. I make little craft items, and I use my machine for basic clothing repairs, etc. I think this machine will do the job just fine for the next 15 years.
Two things I have noticed:
a. the bobbin winder is now plastic instead of metal. Yuck.
b. the storage compartment has not gotten better - it's still "open" and your stuff will fall out if it's not in a bag or pouch. Brother used to include a pouch and yeah..no longer. You have to provide your own.
c. the auto needle threader is now mostly plastic - seems fragile and I’m afraid of it.
Two things I have noticed:

On the good side, here are the improvements over my old machine (the CE4000)
1. the screwdriver is angled so that it will work, without slipping and scratching the plate. Yay!
2. the bobbin case seems far more well designed on this machine.
3. It does seem like it's far quieter and less loud - also, you can set the speed as you wish. This is awesome.
4. it's lighter than my old machine.
5. thread tension seems to be spot on right out of the box.
6. (i wish they would tell you what size needle is installed - I mean, in the actual machine when you remove it from the box.) I couldn't tell, but I’m guessing it's a universal, maybe a 12?
7. the manual was well-written this time.
8. it purrs. it does.
9. Auto one step button hole – this is a non-negotiable for me. It does it well! And in different styles!
10. I don’t think I will use all the stitches in my lifetime, but it’s nice to have those choices. For someone like me, who does basic sewing/mending/craft items, it does beautiful straight, zig-zag, overcast stitches that are just easy to use.
This is a great machine for someone who doesn’t want to spend their life savings on a sewing machine, will use it occasionally, and will learn with it. Great job, Brother USA!

Amazing stitch work!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love to sew. It's one of my guilty pleasures and that's why this sewing machine, with its 60 built in stitches blew my socks right off! Depending on what you are making, or fixing, there are so many ways around it and this machine allows for you to do that effortlessly. Super strong motor. I definitely reccomend reading the manual before using, it helps alot because there is so much on here that you can do. This makes stitching fun. The LED isn't as bright as I'd like it to be but otherwise great. It's small and light weight so it makes moving so much easier. If needed. I highly recommend, especially for beginners.

Fantastic sewing machine!

I sew frequently, as I am Petite and always need to hem my clothing for a better fit. I also see costumes and clothing for my kids. This machine is a huge upgrade from my old sewing machine. The 60 built in stitches add convenience and more professional finishing touch. It is easy to operate, and does a fantastic job on all fabrics. I didn't know what I was missing until I started sewing on this Brother machine. Would definitely recommend.

A Good Choice

I'd sewn extensively as a young mother and then my career and other commitments got in the way. Now, several years into retirement I wanted to get back to making some of my own things. I invested in this sewing machine and have found it a breeze to use. Everything is so well laid out and the instructions are very clear. The machine itself works very smoothly and is easily controlled in terms of speed, stitch selection and length. I am very satisfied with my choice and would recommend this to anyone for a good, well-rounded sewing machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brother Computerized Sewing Machine with 60 Built-in Stitches, LCD Display, 7 included feet is absolutely the best sewing machine I've ever owned. Its computerized is what makes this sewing machine fabulous! So many stitches so many designs to make. And the LCD Display shines right up. Making you able to see exactly what you're doing. I have in light of the pandemic decided my first project was going to make masks. I messed up a few times as I had a difficult time just figuring the machine out. But once I did, it was a breeze, I am so excited about the Brother Computerized Sewing Machine. Please give this sewing machine a try you won't be disappointed.

Great sewing machine

Incredible Sewing Machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This isn’t my first Brothers sewing machine and won’t be my last. They’re a quality brand that I trust and make a quality product that lasts. I’ve had my older model for a decade and it works as good as the day I bought it. This new machine is just an upgrade not because there was anything wrong with my original machine. This new machine just has more features and options that I’m excited about! This machine has so many stitch options nearly three times as many as my old machine! This machine also has an LCD display to select your stitches and I’m really excited to explore that. I think it will be much more accurate to use then the old knob you turn to select a stitch. The machine is well made and durable and looks like it will last a long time. It comes with in depth instructions that will guide you through using this machine successfully which I appreciate. I highly recommend this sewing machine!

Great price for an awesome sewing machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm by no means an expert when it comes to sewing or using sewing machines, I like to do simple crafts and I have been making lots of masks during the pandemic. My old sewing machine was a very cheap one and it doesn't work the best anymore. I love that this machine has a light, it makes it so much easier to see what I'm doing! I also really appreciate the built-in stitches because it makes my projects so much easier and go by so much more quickly than before. I think this is a perfect sewing machine for beginners or anyone that doesn't necessarily do a lot of sewing.
