Great Looking with very good stove top performance and clean

Whirlpool did not engineer this stove to fit into the kitchen There is no space for the gas valve and the stove sticks out into the kitchen It reminds me of the sign-in for this site and the space for review summary here: It forgot a few essentials. The control panel does not rest on a wall and therefore moves everytime you try to use it unless you can steady it with a hand. The stove top is very nice and functional but I do not have a griddle although I have the large burner so can't judge that. All burners work well The small oven does its best as a warming oven but not too good baking. The large oven does a reasonable job baking IF one uses the convection and lowers the temperature a bit. It is a handsome piece . I haven't put the grills in the dishwasher and find them a bit difficult to clean because they are rough and lint is left on them. My con would be the engineering/design

An energy saver

As we are just two people at home, we almost exclusively use the smaller top oven. The burners are very efficient and we enjoy the center burner for making pancakes on a griddle.It is very easy to clean this range because the burners are sealed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

How I Fell in Love with Whirlpool All Over Again

Wow! My new Whirlpool gas range is the best appliance purchase I have ever made! Even though this is my first experience cooking with gas, it makes every meal a pleasure to prepare. I can't believe how much better I can control the heat and how quickly the food cooks, not to mention how evenly my cookware heats and cooks, whether I use cast iron or my heavy aluminum pots and pans.. The different sized burners allow for using the best size for different sizes of cookware. With four size choices, I always have one that works out perfectly. The oblong burner in the center is out of this world! Whoever thought of that is a genius. I was surprised how easily the burners light with just a turn of the knob, and how controlling the flame is so precise. No more jiggling the burners around to make contact, either! One of the things I love most is that when the burner is turned off there is no residual heat like there was on my electric burners. When it's off, it's OFF! But when it's on it's easy to forget it's there--no crackling or other noises from the flames.It is so easy to clean the range top. Just lift off the grates and wipe. Even boil-overs are a breeze to wipe up! No messy burner drip pans to deal with anymore. YAY!The double oven Is a dream come true .No more panicking when I run out of room for baking and roasting. And who wouldn't love the self-cleaning oven? I really appreciate having a glass in the door to check baking progress without opening the door, too. I also have more choices for rack positions than in my old electric range.The range style is very contemporary and fits in with any decor. It looks great with my "Americana' kitchen. Everyone who sees it loves it!I am looking forward to the energy savings I will enjoy as opposed to the energy used by my old electric range.THANK YOU WHIRLPOOL for creating the best thing I've had in my home in years!

Love almost everything about this stove...

This is a great stove. We replaced a very old stove so the faster preheating time is very noticeable. It looks great and actually doesn't show dirt as much as some stoves, which is nice. Haven't used the self-cleaner yet. The only thing I don't care for is the oven buttons. They are not intuitive to me and sometimes I think I'm supposed to make a choice when I don't have to. Also it feels like I have to push the oven control buttons hard to get them to register anything. I'm afraid they will wear out over time.

Some great features

This product in general is a great product. I chose the one with a black top, which I wish I would have chosen a lighter colored top. The top shows every speck of dust. It is also easily scratched and I am very careful with this stove. Having a double oven has been great. I am waiting to actually using both ovens over the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. We use the top oven for cooking things like pizzas which it works great for. I wish the cleaning feature was quicker, but it does a great job of self-cleaning.My biggest complaint is that it scratches so easy and it shows every little speck of dust. I would recommend this stove in general, just get a different color top.

Great design and great features

Beautifully designed double oven. I love having the fifth burner for large pots or keeping something warm. I love being able to broil and bake at the same time. Also to bake at 2 different temperatures simultaneously is just fantastic. I find I am cooking and using the oven more frequently then before.

Microwave function dropped dead

Bought in 2010, but for a summer vacation home where it gets light use for only two months a year, so its actual age at death last Fall was about 14 months at most. We were going to call our excellent repairman but, according to the reviews, the problem is most likely the magnetron and a replacement will also fail in a short time, so we'll have to spring for purchase and installation of new micro-convection, which very definitely will NOT be a Whirlpool.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
