first of all is the sound, it's amazing especially upgrading from my JBL live pro 2 and it's relatively clear rather than bass focused like the pro 2's though can still be lowered. the beam 3's have a clearer soundstage and separation while the bass is still slightly centered in the lower frequencies without it being overwhelming.
battery is nice for the usual time I listen to music or whatever, so as long as your not listening to loud it should last the whole day.
comfort is lackluster for people with big/ shallow ear canals, for me (small ear hole/canal) it's nice and fit's pretty well though I still have to adjust it occupationally but not too bad really. maybe to snug/loose for some.
isolation is rather strong without noise cancelling enabled and better with it on... though it doesn't handle noisy environments well, so the anc is not it at times.
connectivity is perfect, at least with my phone.(edit sep 29, it has a little lag whenever in a room with lots of wireless signals)
to touch up on the case, just make sure the screen is pointed out when it's in your pocket or it will turn on and skip your music. (edit sep 29, the case has held up good for now)
it's only been about 3 weeks with it so far, so I can't say to much about the water/ dust res, though from the other reviews I've read it was rather exceptional for the price. (edit sep 29, make sure you buy them from a third party or local retailer because they'll usually have it below the price rather than the 200 something here... as for water/dust res, still can't say since I don't use them when i work out or do strenuous activity's)
in conclusion it's a 4.7 out of 5, my only concern is the screen durability and degradation of the product over time. the ANC could be better but does the job for whoever finds themselves in a quiet place or somewhat loud one (bought in September 2026 btw) (edit sep 29, my rating has dropped to a 4.4-4.5 because of the random spike of static, I have no clue why it does this but none to less it's an occasional problem but it's manageable. as for the firmware, I thought that's why the battery's in the buds were not synced but it actually might be the hearing test along with the firmware. and that's about it, the rest of what I said is pretty much the same.)
The ear buds themselves are decent. Noise cancelling works to a decent level. Sound on them is nice enough. Fit is good straight out of the box for me. Battery life is good and can connect to multiple devices and switch between them seamlessly.
Now the case. It's stupid and a cause of constant issue. The screen turns on to motion. Not bad but if you have them in you bag this means it is always on. Super sensitive to the point that anything can swipe, press buttons on it, so settings get changed randomly due to this issue. The screen also drains the battery more than charging the ear buds. 3-4 charges if all goes well. But that's if the battery doesn't drain itself because of this stupid screen.
Have had these buds for a while now and just really brings the whole experience of having these down. Not sure why ear buds need a screen in the first place.

We're sorry to hear about your experience on our JBL Live Beam 3. To fix this, you may adjust its wake settings to save battery life. Open the JBL Headphones app, go to Smart Charging Case Settings, and locate the Quick Wake Up option. From there, you can change the screen wake trigger from a single tap to a double or triple tap, or turn off Quick Wake Up entirely so the screen only activates when you open the lid or press the physical button. Lowering the screen brightness and reducing the screen auto-lock timeout in the app will help conserve battery power. Please contact our customer support for further assistance.
The ear bud case makes beeping sound if battery low. Teared down half of house while found this sound source, during night time. Awfull and not needed. Same as the screen on the case. Also ear buds make a loud in ear knocking noise from time to time, irritating. Not sure if would have purchased if knew that in advance.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. You can’t turn off the beeping sound of our JBL Live Beam 3 charging case when the battery is low because it’s a built‑in safety alert. Since this is a feature that we can not disable, we suggest that you make sure that the case always has enough charge. You may try a reset to check if the knocking noise from the earbuds will disappear. Triple tap either earbud, on the third tap - press and hold the earbud for more than 5 seconds. The earbuds will power off and be factory reset. If you need more help, please contact us at https://support.jbl.com/
I got this around July 2024, it’s been 2 years and this things are holding strong. I work in construction so this earbuds have been through water and dust. I have dropped them down multiple floors multiple times…..and they still work without a problem. I have even ran them through the washer and let them dry and they turned on without a problem 😭. I could testify for their durability. They did seem to have a connection issue at the very beginning but I updated them and it got fixed. They sound great and I found myself using the tiny screen a lot more than I thought I would. The battery life was good lasted me a good 3 days before recharging the case. I do wish they made the tap feature a bit more sensitive.
Happy with design and style as well as excellent sound quality. However instructions need a lot of help still not fig out how to answer calls and use other features
My mom got me these about 4 months ago and I left them by my bag one to play play some ball and someone stole it. For the most part they were very good, a had no problems with them before but I'm very sad that they are gone now. :(
I am on my second pair in two years and I can say these are the worst earbuds I’ve ever tried. I cannot get them to pair no matter what I do. JBL already swapped out one pair saying there was an issue with the case but I’m having the same problem with these now that I’ve upgraded phones. The button on the case DOES NOT put these into pairing mode. I am a diehard JBL fan (car stereo fully equipped, two JBL Boomboxes, and four JBL Go speakers) but I will never again own earbuds made by JBL. Absolute nightmare!

Thank you for your feedback. The button on our JBL Live Beam 3 case locks/unlocks the screen. For first-time use, hold the button for 2 seconds or charge the case for 5 seconds. Hold it for 10+ seconds to reset the case. Opening the lid automatically triggers pairing mode. Your device should then detect the earbuds in its Bluetooth list.
