Easy to move and travel with, feather light but packs a lot of power. The functionality is so easy compared to the Apple MacBook. Can’t go wrong

I would have given the laptop 5 stars, except I have an intermittent noise from time to time. I hear a tapping noise between the right touch pad and below the left < key and down key.
I purchased the ThinkPad in October based on Consumer Report reviews. The computer isn't worth the price. I've already had to replace the mother board, battery, fan. Now Lenovo wants to replace the speakers, replace the fan again, and another board. At the moment the computer won't even turn on unless connected to the adapter. AND STILL Lenovo won't replace the computer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your experience with the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13. We’re very sorry to hear about the repeated hardware failures you’ve encountered, especially after choosing this system based on trusted reviews. Replacing major components such as the motherboard, battery, and fan, and now facing additional proposed repairs, is understandably frustrating and unacceptable for a premium device. We strongly encourage you to contact our technical support team (1-855-253-6686) and request an escalation or case review so your repair history and current condition can be evaluated for next steps. Your feedback has also been shared with the appropriate teams, as cases like this help identify where our service and resolution processes need improvement. We're committed to ensuring your satisfaction and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this matter.
I love my new laptop, it's very light only 2 pounds. The graphics are outstanding. I used to have a 15" screen, but this 14" is so crystal clear, I can actually see it better. The battery life is amazing, and there is very little heat given off, considering it's size and power. I would highly recommend to anyone. I can easily pick it up with one hand. The resolution is great too! Very happy customer!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use. Fast and reliable. I never buy anything but a Lenovo Thinkpad. These two are my 6th and 7th units. They never breakdown. I still buy the 5 year warranty and they outlast that. Everyone has gone 6 to 8 years and become obsolete before they ever break. And if any issue, service always helps me quickly over the phone. Only hardware issue I ever had was battery a couple times which is like tires or brakes. Many years ago, when it was still IBM, I was taking my business on the road and needed 10 to 12 hours a day and everything on one unit, two tech specialists I asked said the same thing...."You have no choice....you must buy an IBM thinkpad. I've rarely had better advise. In truth, while a little more money, given how long they last without incident, they actually come out less expensive than the rest out there.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome laptop. Have a 6yo Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga X1 Carbon for work and that thing is a beast and has been flawless. No surprise i went back to Lenovo for this one when I needed a personal laptop upgrade. Small Size is great for travel, and if work from a Hub with multiple Large Format Monitors, Small screen is no issue.
