[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the look of the cooktop until I realized how easy the thing scrathes. I have had it less than 2 years and the burner grates are rusting. They are very expensive to replace. I would be better off buying a new cooktop. All my Frigidare appliances are new and I have had something wrong with each one of them.

Thanks for sharing your experience with this model! We're sorry to hear your grates have not fared well. The grates are made of cast iron and are recommended to be cleaned with soap and water and/or an ammonia mixture. Full instructions are listed on page 11 of your Owner's Manual! Not fully drying cast iron before returning it to the stove or leaving it to air dry may make it more vulnerable to rust, so please ensure the grates are fully dried by hand after washing. Scrubbing or soaking the grates in a mixture of vinegar and water should allow you to remove any existing rust spots. We hope this information is helpful!

Great Cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our Frigidaire cooktop to replace an older cooktop that was in the home when we bought it and that we were really unhappy with. The Frigidaire cooktop is so much better and we are really happy with it, especially the center burner. The new unit fit nicely into the granite cutout for the old cooktop and the new unit looks good in the kitchen. The controls are very easy to use and allows us to adjust the flame to just the amount of flame we want. We look forward to many years of great service from our new cooktop.
