[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Iron grillwork rusts after 3 mos. Apparently I can treat it by baking with oil. Would have been nice to know (had to look up on internet). Rust not covered under manufacturer's warranty, natch--even under extended service agreement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

PROFENGINEER, thank you for sharing this review for your cooktop. I am forwarding your valuable feedback to our design engineers for consideration in future models. For seasoning of the grates we recommend; wash and fully dry, then coat with a thin layer of vegetable or cooking oil, bake the grates in the oven on 350°F for 10 minutes. Constantly striving to be the best home appliance company in North America. We thank you for your willingness to share your opinions and for your personal contribution in helping us to better understand and meet our customer needs going forward. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reconnect with us. Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth
We replaced an electric, black glass cooktop with this gas cooktop. So now i can replace my "hobby" of trying to keep the glass clean and presentable with the enjoyment of actually cooking something on the gas cooktop. it looks great too!
We bought this cook top about 6 weeks ago and I have love it from the first day it was installed. It is very easy to control the flame on the burners and the burners range from a nice simmer burner to a high powered burner for quickly boiling water in a large pot. I just love the feature that the surface doesn't show fingerprints easily and the occasional one you do see just wipes off with a soft cloth. Congratulations Frigidaire on a great cook top.
I purchased the cooktop about 3 months ago. My wife and I have been very pleased in how easy it is to cook with. This is the first gas cooktop Ed have owned. The only negative is the discoloration of the stainless steel around the burners.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, Mickeal. I understand that you are experiencing some concerns with your cooktop discoloring. I would recommend just cleaning with hot, soapy water and a dishcloth. Rinse with clean water and a cloth. Please do not use cleaners with high concentrations of chlorides or chlorine and no harsh scrubbing cleaners. Only use kitchen cleaners that are especially made for cleaning stainless steel. Always be sure to rinse all cleaners from the surface as bluish stains may occur during heating that cannot be removed. Hope this helps! Kindly, Jennifer
