Great Present!

Got them for my dad for Christmas and he loves them! My sister tried both the Bose QuietComfort 45 and these monoprice headphones within the same minute, and she said they?re equal. So these are a perfect less expensive alternative!

The fit over my head is great. Comfortable so far, I am wondering what summer will be like. The bass response is fantastic. The battery life so far isas advertised. the active noise cancelling works good. I am still getting used to the touch controls but they do work well,

Great for My Needs!

Full confession, I'm not an audiophile. I wanted a reasonably priced, quality noise cancelling headphones for use on airplane and in my workshop to cover the noise from powertools, or when cutting the lawn. With that said, these have been great. I think the quality of the sound is far above average, the quality of the build seems good (but it's only been a month), battery life is excellent, and the noise cancellation is perfect for my needs.

They're decent headphones for the price, but the sound leakage is so severe they're basically unusable in public. Returning them was also expensive and a lot of work.

I wish I could give them 3.5 stars. Ive been using them for a while now. Not daily, but quite often. The battery life is as advertised, I took them on a week long trip and used them daily and never needed to charge till I got home. Including 2 5hr plane rides with full ANC on the entire time.
Speaking of, the ANC is pretty good. Not great, but much better than you would expect at this price point. The touch pad is a little finicky for me, but has it's uses. The frequency response is great in the middle, and ok on either end. Again, not stellar, but perfectly acceptable at this price point.
So amazing batterly life, good ANC, and pretty good sound. Why only 3 stars?
Well, the noise leakage is pretty bad. Nearly unusable on the plane, and I found I had to back up my podcast to catch words, or turn up the volume so much that it didn't feel good if I was in public. Your results may vary.
Also, only a couple months in, the ear pad is coming apart at the seam, showing the foam underneath. Not even stitched, just glued together. At this price, can we not get whatever this material is to at least be stitched? I suppose they had to cut corners, so they did on build and the pads themselves. Seems like a cheap fix and I would have gladly spent $20 more for big cushy SEWN pads that actually went over my ear and had nice passive noise seperation.
Would like to find suitable cup replacements that are an upgrade. Probably will keep looking for my ideal set of cans for train commutes and moving around the house.
But after all, that betterly life, though...
