I purchased this vacuum a couple of months ago. The on button needs to be pushed in so hard, that my finger hurts every time. Its almost impossible for my 82 year old Mom to run this vacuum. I have to press the on button for her most of the time, because she does not have the strength to push that hard. Whats up with that????? The one I own, works awesome. No "on" button issues.

I love everything about the vacuum. It is lightweight, the attachements are RIGHT there, and it is easy to take apart in all the different shapes it makes. I would love them to make an adjustment to the hose that hangs on the handle. It does not stay. no matter what.

We bought a "professional model NV500 31", some years back, and think that it's superior to this one. It didn't come with lots of fancy "pet" gadgets, but what it did come with cleaned everything better. Suction/power sem about the same, even the"pro" isa few years
old, and the TruePet only a few months.
The pet gadget this model comes with doesn't clean corner, or crevices, only flat surfaces. With a bit of extra work, any upholstery too can do that! The filters are smaller, and need cleaning more. But, the real tell, is the HEPA exhaust filter. It's far clogged with dirt than any other exhaust filter on the previous vacs. Yes it canbe cleaned out, but why? Also, the TruePet has picked up some kind of bad smell we can't get rid of, and projects it thrughout the house while cleaning. I think we'll be looking elsewhere for another house vac...SOON!

I have 2 dogs and 2 cats who shed, plaid a toddler so I needed s good vacuum. My shark definitely meets my needs and more! I love the hard floor setting as well. Saves me tons of time by not having to use a broom and dustpan.

Bought the Shark about 6 months ago and it is all that and more! Great suction, easy to maneuver and easy to empty. Pet hair is no match for this vacuum. Only drawback is the attachment for floors. It is awkward to use the way it flips over during use due to the flexible hose. It takes getting used to and I would prefer a non flexible attachment. The small attachment for stairs, upholstery, and small rugs is awesome! Would recommend this unit overall though.

I absolutely love my Shark vacuum. Four kids, husband and dog my vacuum had it’s work cut out for it but nothing compares to the power and suction. I will never use another brand again.
