[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mower works great 90% of the time. Cutting lines are crisp and straight and the lawn looks great. However, I seem to have a range of issues the other 10% of the time and it’s rare that I go two weeks without having to go out and correct something with the mower. The typical issues are: 1) the mower gets stuck. 2) the mower loses signal under a tree and gives up. 3) the mower cannot dock at the charging station and gives up. It is a good mower for those that do not mind to tinker, but it is not a mow for those that just want to “set it and forget it”. In addition, one of the wheels stopped working after the first few weeks. It turned out that the bolt keeps in place came loose. I would expect more quality control from a product in this price range.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the 420 IQ mower four months ago. It does a great job mowing when it works. But we are having issues with errors that keep popping up on it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought midway through the summer and it had to start off with fairly tall grass to cut. It did it without issue and managed to get the whole property caught up in just a couple days! I was very impressed with this one over the wired 430HX that it replaced. Love the controllable mow patterns and zone setting and options for each. I don't know why everyone doesn't have one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After two months with the Husqvarna 420IQ, I can confidently say this robotic mower delivers on its promises, with only minor room for improvement.
Setup & Navigation Initial setup was surprisingly straightforward. While the instructions warned that EPOS satellite linking could take up to an hour, mine connected in under 10 minutes. Installing the virtual boundary system and mapping my six distinct cutting areas was relatively easy. The ability to refine cutting areas and add no-go zones through the app has been well worth the time invested - the mower follows boundaries with impressive precision.
Coverage & Battery Life My property includes six cutting areas, with the two largest at about 1/4 acre each. While the 420IQ is rated for one acre, I've found the battery somewhat undersized for real-world use. Depending on the cutting pattern, it often needs a recharge mid-session when tackling the larger areas. Fortunately, charging is quick - a full charge takes less than an hour. I'd prefer if it could complete at least a quarter-acre without recharging, and I'm curious about the actual battery capacity installed in my unit.
Cutting Performance The cutting quality is where this mower truly shines. My lawn looks spectacular with the 420IQ maintaining it. I run it every other day to keep that fresh-cut appearance, and the results are consistently excellent. The mower handles various conditions well and hasn't had issues getting stuck except in a few challenging areas I was testing.
Connectivity & App Zero connectivity issues in two months - the Bluetooth connection and app control have been rock-solid. The app's flexibility is powerful, allowing detailed customization of cutting schedules and zones. Maintenance Maintenance has been minimal and easy - mainly keeping the mower clean and removing clippings and dust. The blades are still cutting sharply after two months, though I'm planning a blade change soon. Based on online resources, this appears to be a simple process.
Minor Criticisms Two small improvements I'd like to see: faster straight-line speed and a larger battery capacity to match the advertised one-acre rating without mid-session charging.
Bottom Line Despite minor battery and speed limitations, the Husqvarna 420IQ delivers exceptional results. Easy setup, powerful app control, reliable performance, and a beautifully maintained lawn make this a five-star product I'd purchase again. If you have a similar property size and want a hands-off solution for a pristine lawn, I highly recommend the 420IQ.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Husqvarna auto mower that I have owned. My first one was a 430XH. I was excited to see Husqvarna come out with a wireless mower. I purchased the wireless 420 IQ simply due to my five year old wired system kept getting cut by my neighbors and contractors working in my development. I set the wireless 420 IQ up by myself. It was very easy due to the videos which were provided with a QR code that came with the mower. Husqvarna really hit it out of the park this time. The mower is so efficient and works seamlessly on my property. It was very easy to install and find the perfect location for my EPOS reference station and the charging station. Great product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this mower a few weeks ago. So far I have been very pleased with the results. Mapping could be made a little easier with uniform shapes that you could control the sizing with length, width, or circumference. It would be great if it would have an automatic switch that would adjust the cut path for certain patterns. However, it is doing a great job and I am happy with the results.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Haven't had much luck with service/feedback in the past hoping this doesn't need any. There's tons of features which could be way better like letting you layout keep out zones around trees by bumping or getting close to a tree then setting a diameter in the ap and having it draw a circular keepout zone (or square or whatever it feels is best) rather than poorly driving around the tree. That could work for other circular garden features too. I have seen a number of app/firmware updates roll out in the two months I've had this which have been improvements. The automowers seem to be more robust than some of the competitors but not without flaws. First automower dealer had one individual that could service them and they left so i was left without service. Second automower dealer swayed me away from epos (but had a buddy get one and it was what I wanted from the start) Third time is hopefully the charm.
I would recommend this to a friend!
