Not worth the cost

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had really high hopes for this ice maker, but ultimately I just do not think it's worth the cost at all.
I will give credit where it is due, and I think that it's really cool that you can power this by both plugging it in, or using a battery, so if you're having a party and want it outside you're able to do that without having an outlet nearby.
It is huge and heavy for seemingly no reason. For as large as it is, the water reservoir is incredibly small, so you can also imagine the ice holder is also quite small.
I would presume at this price point that I would be getting something with a larger capacity for making and storing ice.
I noticed there was water leaking from the bottom in an area separate from the drainage plug.
The thing that would be the biggest hurdle for me to get over, especially at this price, is the high pitched noise that it emits the entire time it is plugged in, even when it isn't actively making ice
I can't see myself using this unless I was really in a pinch and immediately needed ice, I don't think it's worth the price and would not recommend it

Good for camping - not much else

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for my honest review. This ice maker is lacking in so much of its ice making utility. First, the ice bin is roughly the size of two cups worth of ice. It produces ice fairly quickly, but it has to be used immediately because it does not keep the ice cold, it starts melting as soon as it’s dropped into the bin. It is slightly more compact than many traditional ice makers (and in terms of portability it is the size of a large bag of ice from a convenience store - but would take 6+ hours to produce the same amount of ice). The batteries take up a lot of space — understandably, it takes a lot of power to make ice that fast — but limits the convenience of portability. The only logical use I can think of is an ice maker for camping, but it makes ice for about 4 people’s drinks every ~10 minutes, which doesn’t work with how I personally camp (in large groups). I intended to use this at my home bar, and for that use, I do not recommend this ice maker.

Portable, continent, and super easy to clean!

It’s super simple to operate, makes ice quickly, and gives me the option to take it on the go with its battery power pack or the plug in option. The self-cleaning option is suchhhh a bonus!!! As a busy mom, I’m always on the go, and this machine makes it super easy to make cool drinks any time I want. (:

Small & compact but noisy

Makes ice quickly but doesn’t store ice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not at all what I thought I was getting. First, the good- it makes ice and it makes it quickly. It also does not need to be connected to a water line. It’s portable and easy to use. It has a plug in option and a battery power option plus comes with the necessary accessories to use it either way. The instructions are clear and concise.
The bad- it’s a relatively large machine for a minimal amount of ice. I thought the ice reservoir would be much larger but this will only make enough ice for about 3-4 glasses. The ice maker is NOT a freezer/cooler so once the ice is made, it has to be immediately moved to the freezer for storage otherwise it starts melting. It’s not something you can let run and have ice whenever you want it. It’s something you turn on when you plan to use it and then empty when you are done. The color is terrible. I thought I ordered a silver one but ended up with an old retro tan/yellow color. It smells terrible upon first opening- this does dissipate after a while airing out.
This is a great kitchen gadget for someone that might not have an ice maker in their freezer and occasionally has a need for ice. It’s great for a short outing where you are driving and want to have fresh ice whenever you get there.
It is not really that practical for everyday use or often needing ice. It’s a bit bulky to leave on the counter all the time to make ice when it doesn’t even store the ice for you.
Seems to be good quality and doesn’t make a lot of noise.

Large and bulky, inconvenient shape and size. Water tray isn't sealed off so bugs get into water tray easily. Doesn't make ice constantly either. Not easy to operate. Always shuts off.

Solid Ice Maker

A few cubes come out at a time and the machine is pretty loud. If you plan on using for a party or event definitely need it set up and on early so the ice will be ready in time. Overall it was ok.
