An Oldie but Goodie - Great Hardware Modem

This product harkens back to the glory days of dial up internet and bulletin boards. I ran a local bulletin board for a decade or more and it was a vibrant community that ran exclusively on dial modem power.
This is a great hardware modem. No driver is needed for Mac but there is a driver for Windows 8/10.
Under Mac, there are no many software applications that allowing faxing via a hardware based modem but CoMA X is one still around and it worked well with this modem and allowed Fax 1 and Fax 2 capability. It allowed to me fax and also dial in to dial up services. I also made use of the Brother printer fax utilities to use this modem as well.
Under Windows, I used the Brother utility and all seemed to work just fine.
This is a no mess, no fuss hardware modem that works for its intended purposes.
There are still companies that will require faxes to be sent - lawyers and government still make use of fax and shy away form internet based faxing.
Love this little modem and I carry it in my laptop bag just in case along with my other StarTech "just in case" tool. Thanks StarTech.

So if you need a hardware modem, purchasing this modem from StarTech still certainly not break the bank and it is full featured. I believe it uses the Coxiant chip set which has been around for awhile and is reliable. It will do speeds up to 56K and support ?modem download protocol so you are covered if you are still dialing into a dial up service.
You can't beat the 2 year warranty from StarTech.
