I was extremely skeptical before getting the NutriBullet. I read all sorts of reviews that stated that folks thought it was merely an overpriced blender. Well, they were unequivocally wrong.
The NutriBullet Pro is an outstanding piece of hardware. From the outside it looks only like a big motor with a cup on it, but it is engineered to perform. The secret is in the inverted cup and the alignment of the sharp blades. This device is not about blending, but breaking solid material down into a liquefiable fashion. You can clearly see the cyclonic action as gravity and the blades pulverized what you put in it. Plus you do not need to mash anything down, if you follow the directions, it works like a charm.
Warning, you must follow the directions! There is a learning curve to use it correctly. Do not over fill the cup; always add less solid foodstuffs than you think you need. Always add water to the fill line; without enough water, the blades will not work correctly. I also suggest that you place a little oil on the lip of the cup when you start, this will allow the gasket to move freely after you use the device. And be careful, the blades spin very fast. They do produce some heat, so never leave the device running without being right there. You only need seconds to do the job – again, do not think of this as blender.
I bought this to make green shakes and didn't want any pieces left floating in my shake. I use spinach or kale and I am pleased that no trace of the green leafy vegetables are left.
I purchased this a few months back and although I like the way it blends my fruits and vegetables it is not the most friendly product to use. Parts seem to always fall off which I need to put back on in order of the product to work. It seems it will be only a matter of time before one breaks and there will be a continuous leak which will result in me having to replace a part of purchased a new system. I formally had a GNC product and although prefer the way NUTRIBULLET blends, the GNC was made to last long.
I bought this in May. I use it for my smoothies. It for sure breaks down the whole almonds and chia and flax seeds. It takes very little space on my counter. Cleaning is easy too. My only complaint is that they should have added more than one cup holder. Sometimes I whip smoothly for my little one in the smallest cup and he likes to hold it from the handle and there is just one handle holder included to the set. Otherwise no complaints.
but, sometimes it is difficult to remove the spout lid from the canister and I often find myself afraid of breaking the lid flap off. I only wish I could get a better grip on the lid without being afraid of breaking the flap.
