Charging and keyboard issues

I got this through work and it was not my choice, and I would have returned it if I could.
Windows tells me there may not be enough power to charge even though it is charging. Charger that comes with laptop is only 65W so this shouldn't be an issue.
The keyboard also REPEATEDLY just stops working multiple times throughout the day, including right now when I am trying to write this review. The backlighting is still on but the keys don't work. I have to keep disconnecting it, which completely defeats the purpose of having a dock! I may as well just manually reconnect everything when switching between my personal laptop.

Display blinks and isn't correctly recognised

This product was delivered with a McBook Pro 16" in order to connect to a secondary display via hdmi. The only result I see is that the display isn't correctly recognised and therefor not usable in the full resolution (4k). It works fine when directly linked, using the same cable, to other laptops.

Works, but gets hot.

I purchased this unit to "upgrade" my new Macbook Pro so I can once again use my peripherals. The unit works, BUT at a cost on power. it gets pretty warm just connected with no attachments. It gets even much hotter when a device (i.e. external drive) is connected. This leads me to estimate, considering the heat produced, that my battery life will be significantly shortened. In one instance, I had my Mac warn me about excessive power draw while an external drive and a flash drive were connected at the same time.
Since then I only use this adapter when absolutely necessary. I now use a USB31CAADG to connect external drives, since that unit does not get hot.

Doesn't do what it says

Cannot charge my MBP through it. It heats up intensely.

This dock should provide up to 60W charge to your MacBook Pro which should be enough to charge it when not in use, but if you're using it heavily it may not be enough for full speed charging as the included power adapter for the MacBook Pro is 85W. The USB 3.0 ports on the dock provide the standard 5V at 900mA power which, while enough to slow-charge most smartphones, may not be enough to keep an iPad charged if it's still in use since they often require 5V at 2.4A to charge at full speed.

USB ports so slow. Gets really hot.

Takes hours to charge my iPhone using the USB ports. My work paid for it, so I need a replacement but have no receipt. Support can you help me out? I'm a teacher and was really excited to get this device. It also gets really hot.

USB-C docking station for the road warrior!

USB-C multiport adapter with HDMI, RJ-45, two (2) usb Type-A and one SD slot which I use when I a on the road or at customer sites. By just using one port on my laptop I have a fully functional workspace which makes me more productive.
The USB-C multiport adapter is built very well and can take a few knocks when it is in my backpack.

Using as a daily portable docking station

This product is by my side daily as I'm using it as a lightweight portable docking station. It has all the ports you'd need for on the go. It also has a very quality feel as the casing is made out of metal rather than plastic.
All the ports work great. The HDMI port drives my 4k monitor, the gig-e port allows me to stay on the wired rather than wireless network when I move around or am in meetings. Best of all is the dual USB ports that let me copy files between usb keys.
Will definitely be picking up more of these in the future for the team.
