Works well but poorly designed.

I just purchased this adapter it did exactly what it claimed to do. On the other hand, the edges of the plastic adapter case are SO SHARP that they scratched the screen of my brand new Galaxy S21 Ultra. I have terrible ADHD and need headphones on low volume when I sleep. I slept with my new phone plugged into my new charge/audio adapter and my phone had a deep cut in my new phone screen! I'm not just being picky about an otherwise great product. The edges of the plastic are just seriously sharp. This quality issue should be addressed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like how much you can do with such a small adapter. I can charge my phone while listening to music and it doesn't drain my battery! What's not to love? With almost every plug changing to USB-C, this comes in really handy.

Great idea!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this to review the product and write an honest review. When I heard about the concept before receiving it, I thought it was great. I can listen to my music AND charge it same time. When I received the product. I saw the adapter is for the USB-C plug and has two plugs attached. One to charge and one to listen to music. Great idea. But, what if the customer wants to use a regular set of headphones with headphone jack. The plugs are only good for two USB C ports. It'd be better in my opinion if it was a USB C for the charger and 3.5 mm headphone jack. Great idea though.

Simultaneously Charge and Listen on Android Phones

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I couldn't wait to get my hands on the Belkin Connect F7U081btBLK. Finally, a high-quality adapter that allows me to listen to music and charge my phone simultaneously. Sure, there are a lot of cheap adapters on the web that claim to do the same as the Belkin. I have tried several, but they usually have poor sound quality or hiss/static in the background. Not the Belkin F7U081btBLK. The sound quality is excellent. My RockStar USB-C headphones sound the same using the Belkin F7U081btBLK charge and audio adapter as when directly connected to the phone. No static or hiss. Just clean sound at the same volume.
Setup is simple. Simply plug the adapter into the USB-C port of the phone and connect the charger on the right and headphones on the left to the clearly marked dedicated ports.
While the setup is simple and the sound quality excellent, the adapter will only Cable Charge on my Android phone. I used the phone manufacturer's OEM charger and cable that was packaged with my phone but the Belkin F7U081btBLK adapter will not support Fast Charge. As soon as the charger is plugged directly into the phone Fast Charge works as expected. While this is a disappointment, the ability to still charge the phone slowly and listen to high quality audio at the same time is a benefit and is useful for flights, long car trips... I really like the Belkin product but the slow Cable Charging lags just behind the battery drain on the phone when watching movies. Thus, I use this when listening to audio only.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sure what this is for with 2 USB-C ports. Why send this to test and not explain what it is designed to do? The music devices I use don't charge via USB-C. The unit I see online at least has a headphone jack. Where are the instructions?

The adapter is meant for USB-C headphones. Since most phones only have one USB-C port, you can use the adapter to charger and listen using your USB-C headphones at the same time.

no power from splitter

I bought this to use as a spltter charger. I have a port on a lamp .Plugged this in expecting it to charge my iphone and computer with lightning cables, it will not power to either. I can power without the splitter but get nothing with the spltter. What am i doing wrong

Well made adapter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm glad I found this Belkin USB-C adapter. I was always hesitant to use my usb to tether to my car stereo unless my phone was fully charged. It works as it should with no issues. The connectors and cables are well made and fit my smart phone perfectly.
