Getting curl to hold is a challenge

Purchased the air wrap 3 weeks ago & am still figuring out how to get the curl to hold :( Watched a ton of videos & trying every technique & product suggested. Curl isn’t holding. Yea, hair is 90% dry, wand is on high heat & held 12-15 seconds, cold shot is used, curl is sprayed…what am I missing?

The most amazing tool that I have ever bought. It is worth ever penny. My 3c curly textured hair loves and I can already tell that my hair is healthy and happy.

Broke after one use

I got this 2 weeks ago, used it once and it already broke. The unit won't even turn on.

I get what all the hype was about

I used gift cards to purchase the Air Wrap Dryer. Wouldn’t have bought it any other way. I absolutely love the Air Wrap. I have long hair and drying time significantly cut down. My hair is shinier, no fly always. I use every attachment. Still learning how to curl my hair and keep the hold. I know see why people invest in this product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointed

The learning curve is complicated… if I only had another hand! It did make my wavy somewhat frizzy medium long hair smooth but I couldn't get a style that I liked. I found it to blow my hair all over awkwardly and continually sectioning and clipping was cumbersome. I returned it as it is too overpriced. Disappointed I couldn’t get the skills needed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Attachments falling off

For some reason, no matter what I did, when I lock my attachments into place they would end up falling off during use. It's like it wasn't properly locking on, no matter what I did to try and make sure the locking mechanism was engaged.
It also keeps having some electrical problems, turning off randomly, and sometimes won't turn on at all. I have to reset the button on the plug several times before it will respond and fuagain.
The product is fine, in general. It's not top heavy, easy to use, dries well. I like that the cool shot is easy to get to use. The curling air wrap doesn't work that well with my medium length straight hair, the ends didn't want to wrap, they would just blow straight. I had to manually force the ends to wrap around the barrel, and only then would the rest of the hair curl up and around the barrel.
I do like the straightening/smoothing brush, but it's a little slippery and doesn't seem to grab the hair well so it doesn't stretch the hair at all like when you use the bristle brush, which is nice to have that tension when you're trying to straighten the hair while blow drying.
In the end I figired it's cheaper for me to just buy an inexpensive both a blow dry round brush and a straightening brush to replace this, since the majority of the functions on the Dyson don't work that well.
I thought this would be a game changer for my hair routine and it's just not, so the price is not worth it. I could go on a cruise for this price. Be advised that the company is taking a long time to even start the return process, so it seems like you can't just return, they have to review your request before they'll let you print a return label.

Great styling tools

I bought a refurbished 1st generation to save a bit, and works great. Takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it is a game changer. I use the curling wand while my hair is slightly damp. Takes the frizz out, and looks great. Love it! Also, happy to know that the new long hair and multi directional tools will work on the 1st generation model also. Waiting on the 1.6 barrel for long hair to get back in stock.
