I tried my friends before I bought this! I am in love. I’ve never had problems really with my hair holding curl but after using this nothing compares. My hair has been keeping curls for 3 days with minimal touch up!! I am still working on the blow out part but between the hair dryer attachment and the curling I don’t even want my hair straight anymore! I get more compliments than I ever have!! 10/10 recommend!

In Love with my Airwrap!

This was the best Dyson purchase I’ve made in a long time. A great design and the air wrap curling feature is awesome. Take a few tries to get the hang of it but once perfected it’s easy. Curls stay for a long time; even when I wake up they’re still there. You will have fun curling, save money not going to the salon, and look beautiful for your significant other. Worth ever penny!

Difficult to use

Perfect for my straight thin hair!

I bought this hoping it would work with my straight somewhat thin hair. I cannot hold curl even with a curling iron and hairspray unless I use the ENTIRE bottle of spray. So I was like.. well let's see if this works. Well... this works! Does it give me tight curls, no but it does give me the curl/waves that most of us want. Minimal product and hairspray; I tried it with and without damp hair and it works. I don't have to fool around with the curling iron and fry my hair and end up chopping off the ends. I also don't have to worry about burning my ears or fingers. My hairstylist noticed my hair looks much healthier than than what I was using prior so that is much. If you can spare the expense I would invest in this for the health of your hair and the ease of its use. The hair dryer, the hair brush volumizer, round brush volumizer and of course, the air wraps. ONLY thing I do not like and it's purely cosmetic is I want to get the 0.8 barrels but they do not come in the special edition Prussian blue/copper color. So.. I will not have 2 mismatched barrels which is not what I want when I own this high quality/high priced product.

I hope to one day justify the cost of this

I cannot get my hair to stay curled for longer than 20 minutes. I have to issues with keeping my hair curled using a normal curling iron.
Positives: my hair doesn’t get as damaged
Negatives: It’s time consuming and my hair doesn’t stay curled. It's also costly.
My hair goes to just above my waist. It is straight, fine, but very thick. I think that this might work better for shorter hair.
I did end up purchasing the 1.2 inch long barrel, and that did make a positive difference, but my hair became a very loose wave within hours.

Hello Nic, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Airwrap™ can deliver a variety of styles from voluminous curls, waves to a smooth finish. However, the end result varies and depends on a combination of factors – hair type, hair length, settings you use the product at or how wet the hair is before styling. If you're experiencing curls dropping out, a few tips to help improve would be ensuring the hair is damp before styling, that the barrels are held in place until the hair is dry, and to use the cold shot to set the curls.
If you begin your hair wet, and use the pre-styling dryer prior to curling, you may wish to not dry your hair as much, and then when using the barrels to curl, ensure the hair is completely dry before releasing. If you start with dry hair and use a spray bottle to dampen hair, you may not be getting the hair wet enough prior to using the barrels. You can also experiment with a styling/setting spray once complete to help hold the curls.
