So disappointed

This is so fun to use and the curls
Look great….but they only last about 3 minutes. So disappointed

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. I'm sorry to hear that you've been having a disappointing experience with your Dyson Airwrap™ styler Complete, especially with regard to curl retention. The Airwrap™ can deliver a variety of styles from voluminous curls, waves to a smooth finish. However, the end result varies and depends on a combination of factors – hair type, hair length, settings you use the product at or how wet the hair is before styling. If you're experiencing curls dropping out, a few tips to help improve would be ensuring the hair is damp before styling, that the barrels are held in place until the hair is dry, and to use the cold shot to set the curls.
If you begin your hair wet, and use the pre-styling dryer prior to curling, you may wish to not dry your hair as much, and then when using the barrels to curl, ensure the hair is completely dry before releasing. If you start with dry hair and use a spray bottle to dampen hair, you may not be getting the hair wet enough prior to using the barrels. You can also experiment with a styling/setting spray once complete to help hold the curls.

Best hair tool ever!!!

While callus pricey this replaced 3 tools and I received compliments immediately and for several days after. I am thrilled with the time saving and results.

Love This! Wish it was more ergonomic

I've been using this every week since I bought it a few months ago and I absolutely love this. I have thick medium long hair and it takes me about 30 minutes to make it look like I'm ready for a hair commercial. I have small hands and my hands/wrist did start to hurt holding it after using it so often. Dyson needs a more ergonomic design, hence the 4 stars..and the price of course. It's expensive.

Airwrap curls and waves fall flat in 30min

I really wanted to love this, given the Dyson reputation and the high price. It's a luxe appliance, to be sure - nicely constructed and packaged and with extras like the velvet travel case, brush, and comb. The hairdryer attachment is awesome. But, for me, it stopped there. The rest of the attachments have a learning curve and are not easy to use. I watched and mimicked countless styling videos, set the curls with the cold blast, but to no avail. Dyson Airwrap curls and waves would fall out of my hair within 30 minutes. Ultimately, I can style my hair with a flatiron in half the time, with zero hairdryer noise, and the waves will last all day. I wish I could return it or exchange for just a Dyson hair dryer, but I waited too long. If your hair is hard to curl - give this a second thought.
