Not for me- fine hair

I will be giving it away or selling. It is just not for me a lot more difficult to use then expected for me. Also, it leaves my hair oily looking for some reason. I have very fine hair I am not sure if that is the issue but I think so. Great for someone with thick hair only.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Airwrap™ Styler was designed for those who want the versatility of a styler to create curls and waves, or a smooth finish. Dyson Airwrap™ wraps entirely through the use of airflow and the naturally occurring phenomenon of the Coanda effect. Air, when propelled at the right speed and pressure, naturally follows an adjacent surface, entraining surrounding air. The Dyson Airwrap™ styler creates a spinning vortex of air around the barrel that attracts, wraps and curls hair. The combination of damp hair, airflow and not applying extreme heat to hair during the drying process helps to lock in your style, whether you're looking for a straight finish, waves or curls.

Results not worth the expense

I gave this a solid effort for almost a month, and in the end, the cost didn't justify the results. I have long, fine hair but a ton of it. It holds a curl really well. The airwrap is a really clever idea, but the results are meh. It aggressively curls the very ends of your hair, so unless that's the type of look you're going for (super polished, barrel waves) you probably won't like this. I tried so hard to fiddle with different techniques to get a more natural/relaxed/beachy look, and this just can't accomplish it by design. I was also really surprised at how quickly the curls fell out, and it honestly took me longer to dry & curl my hair with this than if I were to just rough dry with a regular blowdryer and curl with my iron or straightener. I will say that the blowdryer itself and brush attachments are lovely. It does dry your hair pretty fast and the brushes are extremely gentle on your hair. In the end, I couldn't stomach spending so much money on something that didn't wow me with results so I returned.

The Airwrap™ can deliver a variety of styles from voluminous curls, waves to a smooth finish. However, the end result varies and depends on a combination of factors – hair type, hair length, settings you use the product at or how wet the hair is before styling. There is also definitely a learning curve to using your Airwrap as well.
If you're experiencing curls dropping out, a few tips to help improve would be ensuring the hair is damp before styling, that the barrels are held in place until the hair is dry, and to use the cold shot to set the curls. If you begin your hair wet, and use the pre-styling dryer prior to curling, you may wish to not dry your hair as much, and then when using the barrels to curl, ensure the hair is completely dry before releasing. If you start with dry hair and use a spray bottle to dampen hair, you may not be getting the hair wet enough prior to using the barrels. You can also experiment with a styling/setting spray once complete to help hold the curls.

Finally bought it and I love it!

I have been debating on buying this product for about a year and i must say i dont regret it one bit! I am traveling at the moment and this works perfectly for my needs as i can curl, straighten and just simply blow dry my hair fast! I am not a fan of using heat on my hair especially since it always smelt burned afterwards but with this styler i have yet to smell that smell! :)

Not worth the price if you have fine hair

I purchased the customized styler for fine hair, which gave me the 0.8 barrel instead of one of the paddle brushes, which I'm happy about. I've used it 3 times so far, twice with the 1.2 barrels and once with the 1.6 barrels. The initial curl is perfect and it was exciting to achieve it, but it falls out almost instantly, which is SOOO disappointing. I even tried using mousse to help keep the curl, but it doesn't help. I suppose the benefit of this is that it protects hair from not using heat that is too high, but as far as style, you can achieve the same look with a curling iron or hot rollers-and it lasts longer, at least for me. It's not too hard to use, almost the same as a curling iron. It also doesn't pull hair, but it does take in more than the section I initially select. The technology is impressive, but overall I can't say it's worth the price. I want to use the 0.8 barrels next to see the result, but at this point I'm considering returning it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great for 3B/3C hair!!

Most reviews seem to be for straight/wavy hair, but this works great for curly hair! I recommend using the smooth brush attachment with high heat and medium airflow at the roots.

Great but could be better

I’ve had this for a few weeks now and it works perfectly. My “issue” is that for the cost, I should be able to select the longer curling rods when purchased. I have really long hair and want the longer option, but I had to order it with the shorter and then spend even more to get those. For a company that prides itself on functionality and simplicity, you’d think they’d allow for ideal customization for their clients. I also wish there was a diffuser for the air wrap so I could use the same system for all my needs. Other than that- I think it’s great!
