Not great for my thick curly hair

I can see how this is an amazing product for some, but it's just not great for my thick, curly hair. When I used the smoothing brush to straighten, my hair did dry very fast, but I could still see waves along my crown. I typically only wash my hair once or twice a week, and the blow out didn't last as long; the waves along my crown got more pronounced as the days went by. It also took some work for my ends to get smooth. I still ended up needing to either use a flat iron, or curl my ends. My hair ended up super poofy with the barrels. I think I need more heat to tame my thick hair, so this product just didn't work for me. I'm planning on returning it, as it is a steep price to pay for something that I have to use a different tool to finish after the Airwrap. I have the Dyson hair dryer already and am considering purchasing the Corrale. I would absolutely recommend this product to someone with thin hair.

I absolutely love it! It takes a little practice but it is so worth it! My curls are soft and they last! My curls also stay through sleeping overnight. For many years I’ve used hot rollers any my curls would deflate by mid day unlike the curls from the air wrap which have been able to hold all day and even to the next day. My hair is also much softer and have little to no frizz anymore! Worth every penny!

I wanted this to work so bad

If you have thick long hair this just doesn’t work. You have to section your hair into TINY sections and after an hour of using the tool you can look like you’re straight out of the 70’s. I wanted this to work so bad bud sadly, I am returning

We recommend choosing Complete if you have hair that’s shorter than chest length, as this set comes with our standard barrels. If your hair is chest-length or longer, we recommend the Complete long which features our long barrels. Alternatively, you can use our Hair Diagnostic tool on dyson.com to customize your multi-styler.
The Complete long kit isn't always available, and I can confirm it's currently out of stock on the website. We do also carry longer barrels which can be purchased separately, should you desire those for longer/thicker hair. I got this as an anniversary gift and I am certain it won’t be topped. I have a lot of long, fine hair. Blow drying regularly takes me 40 minutes then styling is about another 30. I was able to straighten my hair with the smoothing brush and dry it in 20 minutes! And curling it took me a total of 30. My only insight to others with long or fine hair, use a texturizing spray or a mousse if you want to keep the tight curl. I don’t normally because I love that it falls into big waves. It’s amazing!! I tried the wrap and volume round brush on my moms very short fine hair and it had no problem holding with no product. In addition, watch those tutorials!! I felt so discouraged when my hair wouldn’t hold and I watched others blogger’s videos that had the same issue, but after watching the Dyson tutorial, I realized I and those beauty bloggers were doing it wrong. Do it like the tutorial and you’ll have no issues. These are not complaints and I’m not a professional stylist, this is my honest review and insight to you. You will NOT regret this purchase.

Needs to offer larger barrels as optional add-on

…That is why I gave it only 4 stars.
Otherwise, miraculously makes damaged hair appear shiny and healthy. Enables you to try a surprising variety of hairstyles. Definitely requires exploration of different ways to use it, to figure out what ways work best.
