My husband purchased for me about a month ago. Best present ever!! My hair dries so quickly, the attachments are perfect and I have a shiny blowout all from the comfort of my home. You will not regret it. SO WORTH IT.

I love this product, before the Dyson Airwrap I had to use both hands to style my hair, (one for hairdryer and one for round brush). This tool is so many tools in one. It's light weight, quite, and effective!! I love the curls it leaves in my hair. I am able to wear my hair multiple days in a row by refreshing my curls with dry shampoo. I recommend purchasing this tool. You will not regret it with all the features it offers!

Amazing device and leaves it just like the salon if not better. I was a little hesitant about the buy because of the price and it was well worth it. Takes some time to figure out which attachments to use for your hair but you get the hang of it. Advice is just to use all of them to see what gives the best results that you want. My hair did everything my hair dryer, straightener and curling iron would do, so it’s a 3 in 1 type of device. I have long fine, curly hair and it took me roughly about 20 minutes to do.

Straight hair - think twice - curling your hair dry won't give the same results as using a curling wand

I have straight, shoulder length hair so I bought this for curls. Per usual, straight hair people want curly hair . . .
I followed the instructions - 6 steps to curl retention: 1. Start with damp, towel-dried hair. 2. Use the 1.2 inch barrel for a defined curl. 3. Use high heat and airflow. 4. Make sure curl is completely dry before you turn the machine off. 5. End with cool shot to set style. 6. Add styling product such as hairspray to maximize curl longevity.
I'd add to the instructions - take small sections of hair, curl both the lower part of your head (ear level below), then the upper parts (above the ear).
Here's the reality: curling your hair dry won't give the same results as using a curling wand.
The curling attachments also generate a lot of air/wind so as you're going along your still wet/uncurled hair dries and will need to be re-wet.
Plus it's hard to keep each finished curl neat because the moving air is trying to grab pieces as it goes. If you don't get your hair spray in quickly and clip the curl to your head, the curl will drop before you're done drying your entire head. You will need to be really good with sectioning out your hair (both the wet and the dried/curled) to get good results. Watch a few YouTube videos and you will see what I mean. For the price, this was a major disappointment.
The reason you're given two barrels is that each flows in one direction only. So in theory if you want the alternating curl look - one toward the face, one away from the face, you have to switch attachments for each curl. Or you can hold the same barrel upright then upside down. For the price, this was a disappointment.
This product is really made for ringlet type curls . . . if you want the messy beach curl look, you can wrap your hair around the barrel but you need to hold the end away from the barrel to get that look. The nice thing is that you can wrap your hair, hold the ends, and then turn the hairdryer on so it doesn't grab other pieces you didn't want it to grab. Again, I think a wand is much easier and gives better results.
In terms of straightening your hair, you will be using the Soft smoothing brush and the Round volumizing brush. I really like how the hair flows through the brushes. It's a lot easier than holding both brush and hair dryer in each hand and does a better job of handling some cow licks I have toward the back of my crown. But I didn't like enough for the price. If you still want to try, and you're only styling straight hair, save yourself $50 and buy the Volume+Shape kit. This is meant for fine, flat hair. I wanted the larger barrels for looser curls but they didn't work at all on my hair; Dyson is correct that the smaller barrels are for straight hair.
I also don't think this hair dryer gives the same amount of shine as the Supersonic. It would be nice if attachments were interchangeable between the two products but they are not.
Based on the YouTube videos I watched, the people with thick hair got beautiful results with this product and their hair naturally held the curls very nicely. They also seemed pleased with the straightening affect. If this is your type of hair, buy the Smooth+Shape version.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
