What button do I press to make the cylinders grab

I've watch all the website videos over and over again and read the instruction book and I can not figure what button to use to suck air in facilitating the clump of hair to be sucked around the curling cylinder rather than have air blowing out of the cylinder. HELP please. If I can figure out how to this I'd for sure recommend to friends and I will change my rating.

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you're having some trouble with using your Dyson Airwrap™ styler. One thing you will notice about your barrels, is that they have arrows on them. This will indicate the direction of the airflow. It sounds like from your description, that you need to swap the barrels or move to the other side of your head with the current barrel in use. There isn't a button you'd need to press; the Coanda flow of air from the barrels will grasp the air for you. You may wish to view the "Getting Started" video on our website here --> https://www.dyson.com/support/journey/guides/310731-01?machineId=310731-01, which will show in better detail how to use the barrels, and how the barrels grasp the hair as you move the styler toward your head.
While we don't ever expect any issues to occur, there is definitely a learning curve with the Airwrap. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always had relatively easy hair to style, thus I have gotten spoiled by it, but lately I’ve been wanting to up my hair game. My typical effort to styling my hair was letting it air dry and maybe flat ironing it for about 2 minutes total. The Dyson Airwrap gives me so much body and the look of a professional blow out every time! It takes about 30 minutes total to do my entire hair.

I was getting my hair blown out @ a salon every week , but not anymore . This is kinder and gentler on my wavy thin hair that I Can Blow out straight Or curly depending upon the adapter I use. I’m finding I have less breakage and less fall out since purchasing this. Worth the money , my favorite blow drier of all time ! And I no longer use a flat iron nor a curling iron which is way to harsh and ruins the hair. This product is a lifesaver, and No more costly professional blow outs for me !

So first off, I never ever EEVVEEERRR do my hair. I am a wash and go, kind of girl. However, I have used all the different attachments to see how they work and I have owned the styler for three days.....THREE! I am not a morning person so I have done the shirley temple curls, spray with hair spray and eventually go to bed. I wake up the next morning with this gorgeous mane of hair. I mean VOLUME and waves!! People have asked me the past few days if I've snuck into a hair salon (we are still in semi-lockdown). I said , nope - I got a Dyson airwrap styler!!!

Had it less than a year and shutting off.

I loved this dryer until it started to have problems. I have read online that it is common problem. The light is not flashing and the filter is clean. I have tried everything the Dyson website said to trouble shoot. It is shorting out and can hear it losing connection before it turns off. So disappointing because it was expensive and I worked great until now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’m 46 & not great with my hair. I never was good with a traditional curling iron. I wasn’t sure how this would work but it’s amazing. The hair dryer is okay and the brush attachments are decent but the main attraction is the airwrap stylers! They suction your hair to the wand. It’s so easy to use & leaves my hair feeling so nice. My hair is older & the texture isn’t as good as it used to me, until now. The girls at work said I looked like I was wearing a wig, my hair is so perfect. I style my hair at night & sleep on it. It still looks amazing for days later. I do not put my hair in sectioned buns or follow any of the rules. I just take pieces of hair & curl them all the way around my.head using some clips to keep the curled hair away from the uncurled hair. The wand is great it’s light & long enough to make it easy to use. If you are thinking about it, do it. Next I want to flat iron!
