Quit working after only using the air wrap a few times. Very disappointed. When it worked it was awesome and my curls stayed in when using in dry hair

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for sharing your review. The Dyson Airwrap™ Complete Styler was designed for those who want the versatility of a styler to create curls and waves, or a smooth finish. Dyson Airwrap™ wraps entirely through the use of airflow and the naturally occurring phenomenon of the Coanda effect. Air, when propelled at the right speed and pressure, naturally follows an adjacent surface, entraining surrounding air. The Dyson Airwrap™ styler creates a spinning vortex of air around the barrel that attracts, wraps and curls hair. The combination of damp hair, airflow and not applying extreme heat to hair during the drying process helps to lock in your style, whether you're looking for a straight finish, waves or curls. We are happy to hear that you've been so pleased with the curl retention, while using this styler.
It's unusual to hear that after just a few uses, your Airwrap stopped working. While I'm not certain if it's just an attachment you're having trouble with, or the styler itself, this certainly isn't the experience we would want, nor expect for you to have with any Dyson product. We'd value the opportunity to assist you, to make sure your Dyson is working properly. Please feel free to contact us directly at askdysonus@dyson.com. We're keen on providing you with support and learning more about your experience.
Best wishes, Kelly

I love it but there is a learning curve to get by. If you don’t have the patience to figure out how to use this tool properly don’t waste your money. My hair has never felt so soft. My biggest complaint is that it’s very disappointing that for the price you pay to don’t get a set of long barrels

I have arthritis in my hands and was concerned that I would not be able to operate the styler
It is very easy to handle (but watch the videos first) and am thrilled with the results. I'm also thrilled I no longer have to leave my hair set in large rollers for hours at a time. This product is definitely worth the money

Darn near perfect

I’ve been blessed with hair that has a lot of flyaway frizz and is very thick. The only way I can tame it is with a curling iron to smooth it out. I received the Dyson Airwrap Complete for my birthday this year and after eight months of almost daily use, this is what I think.
1. I’m not convinced the dryer attachment dries faster or smooths hair better than other hair dryers but it does the job well.
2. To have your curling attachments, brushes and dryer in one unit is fabulous!!!
3. I’m able to style my hair daily in record time even though I have very thick hair. This is due to the fact that I can curl, brush etc with damp hair. I’d have to spend a lot of time drying thoroughly if curling with a separate iron.
4. The curling attachments don’t make tight curls with my hair but rather soft, smooth curls and waves. This is perfect for my preferred daily hair style. If I want super curly, I have other products that work better. I’m good with that.
5. I wish I had a something smaller to carry the pieces in when traveling. The case is very bulky.
6. My favorite feature is that I can pretty much just touch the tip of the curling attachment to my head and my hair wraps around on its own. It’s really quite comical. I’ve watched many videos of people fumbling with the Airwrap. Relax and let it do it’s thing.
I’m looking forward to more attachments and innovations from Dyson.
In summary, I love my Dyson Airwrap Complete. You’ll have to pry this out of my cold, dead hands.
(I’m adding a photo of my daughter with long, straight hair after she used the Airwrap for the first time. )
I'd been wanting an airwrap for a while, but would not buy it for myself. My husband got it for me for Christmas and I could not have been happier with his gift. I love my airwrap and am wondering what I did prior to it! It's easy to use and quick even with long hair! If you like straight hair and curls, this styler can give you all that and more! You'll be happy with your decision if you make the purchase, I promise. It travels well too!

Amazing product. No extreme heat. Wonderful styles. You get better with practice. It’s best to not be lazy and use all the attachments. Try them all.

Not for me

The quality of this product is not in question, very high quality product. For my fine hair however, it is only good for volumizing. No matter how much product I use the curl will not hold more than 5 minutes. I have much lower priced tools that work just fine for this purpose. So for the high cost of this item, this product for me is not worth the money. I am returning.

Hi Robin, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for taking the time to share your review of the Dyson Airwrap™ styler. The Airwrap™ can deliver a variety of styles from voluminous curls, waves to a smooth finish. However, the end result varies and depends on a combination of factors – hair type, hair length, settings you use the product at or how wet the hair is before styling. If your experiencing curls dropping out, a few tips to help improve would be ensuring the hair is damp before styling, that the barrels are held in place until the hair is dry, and to use the cold shot to set the curls.
If you begin your hair wet, and use the pre-styling dryer prior to curling, you may wish to not dry your hair as much, and then when using the barrels to curl, ensure the hair is completely dry before releasing. If you start with dry hair and use a spray bottle to dampen hair, you may not be getting the hair wet enough prior to using the barrels. You can also experiment with a styling/setting spray once complete to help hold the curls.
While I understand you are intending to return your purchase, we'd value the opportunity to learn more regarding your experience, as we're dedicated to customer satisfaction. Please consider emailing us directly at askdysonUS@dyson.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

I really didn't want to love it

Let me start out by saying I actually had every intention of returning this because I felt like I'm sure it won't work on my hair... I have shoulder ish length pretty curly thick er hair that has a bunch of layers...based on the fact that there was absolutely no videos out there of anyone who had hair like mine I figured this wasn't going to work but I was going to try it anyway because I had to... I got it last night and I couldn't wait to put my kid to sleep so that I could try it.... My hair has never been so soft....the curls were little difficult to do with my hair being so short but I made it work and then this morning I used the round brush to do a blowout on my hair and it's saved me probably 20 minutes I just had to go back through and use the flat iron a couple times in areas that I prefer more straight... It's expensive...but with that being said I feel like I no longer need to have a nice round brush, I no longer need to get a keratin treatment, or a Brazilian blowout, and spend money on products that make my hair super soft and shiny... So I feel like with crazy math it definitely ends up saving me money lol there is a learning curve do not give up on it I'm pretty good at doing things with my hair and using different products so I knew I get the hang of it relatively quickly but I can understand how some people were a little confused and can't really get it to work right away I personally found that using the curlers actually wrapping the hair around with my finger was easier and then just letting it go then actually letting the blow dryer rap for me
