Curling Barrels Bring the Best Out of My Hair

To understand my product review, you must first understand my hair. I have thick, long hair which holds curl really well. It's naturally slightly wavy with a strong tendency to frizz. When I first started using the airwrap, my hair was about 6-7 inches past my shoulders; now it is 8-9 inches. I purchased this product because the people who did post pictures had that salon sheen in their hair that I only get when I go to a salon. Most of this review will be about the curling barrels though I address the other accessories at the end (along with the lack of five stars). I had a few learning curves when learning to use the product but after watching two YouTube videos I learned the error of my ways and quickly learned to style my long hair (6-7 inches past shoulders) with the airwrap barrels in 30 minutes. I found if the airwrap was not grabbing my hair, it was because the ends of my hair was too wet. Thus, I learned to dry the ends more. I found if my hair was falling off the barrels, I had too much hair on it. At 8-9 inches past shoulders, the long barrels are probably a worthwhile investment. I can still get it done with less hair on the barrels but it takes more time. Thicker barrels gave me looser curls; thinner barrels give me tighter curls. I can sleep on a satin pillowcase for days and still look good to go in the morning (with slightly less curl each day). I also found that my hair had that salon sheen. When I first saw my stylist after using the airwrap, she thought I was cheating on her because of how good my hair looked! It looks healthier and feels softer. The barrels are definitely a five-star product for me. With the other accessories, I end up with very frizzy hair, so frizzy in fact, that I must either use a flat iron on every piece of hair and/or put it in a pony tail. Thus, if I want to go straight, there are other solutions for me since I'm not gaining quicker styling, salon sheen, or healthier hair with the airwrap. Net, I take away a star because part of the complete set doesn't work for me (and it added to the financial investment; ideally, I would have purchases a barrel only solution (with both short and long barrels) and would say it would be worth every penny). As far as the curling barrels though, they bring out the best parts of my hair. Pre-airwrap, my styling regime was wash hair at night, air dry while sleep, curl in the morning. The curling was a 20-minute effort. The airwrap gives me two options. First, I can wash hair in morning and use the airwrap to get my signature style of curls (30-minute styling effort). Second, I can do that all at night and be ready to go in the morning. So, there may be still be times I use the traditional curling iron (10 minutes faster), but my preference is to airwrap it and strut the salon sheen!

The dyson airwrap is the ultimate hair tool! It makes drying and styling your hair so fast and makes your hair feel so soft, shiny, and voluminous! From blow outs to beachy waves to bouncy curls you can do it all with the airwrap! Also makes your hair feel really healthy and strong which is always a plus! Will recommend this to everyone!

Great for my frizz control

After watching mixed reviews for over a year i gave in and didn't know what to expect with curly frizzy hair. It great. My hair stays smooth and my hair is full and not flat looking. I used all pieces and airwrap is a time saver. One star is left off only because of the price. But chord is long and case is sturdy. Love it

Best hair tool I’ve ever owned!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Dyson. Ditch all your hair tool and make yourself a favor and buy the styler airwrap. It works miracles with my hair. It is very easy to use, doesn’t burn my hair, sometimes it does get a bit hot if you keep it close to your scalp but no where near as hot as the regular hair tools!

Shutting off

I've been waiting for a year to buy this but was so disappointed when it shut off my first time using it out of the box. It came back just to shut off again. I was left with half my hair done and half undone and now it doesn't work at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Life Changing for a frizzy curly head of hair

I have struggled with blow drying my hair my entire life, I have a ton thick, curly, frizz prone hair. For years, I've been using a flat iron alone, destroying it my hair. For the first time in my 30 years of live I LOVE blowing out my hair. It looks AMAZING, and it is quick and easy. I didn't believe something like this could exist.
