Hair does not hold curl

At the first moment, my hair looks great. But within a few minutes, everything falls to a gentle wave. I’ve done overnight wet set curlers which my hair holds for 4 days, so it’s not just my hair type. I like that there is less heat than a curling iron, but don’t expect the same strength of curl. It’s really not worth the price so I’m going to see if I’m able to return. What a let down.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Elizabeth, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Airwrap™ can deliver a variety of styles from voluminous curls, waves to a smooth finish. However, the end result varies and depends on a combination of factors – hair type, hair length, settings you use the product at or how wet the hair is before styling. If you're experiencing curls dropping out, a few tips to help improve would be ensuring the hair is damp before styling, that the barrels are held in place until the hair is dry, and to use the cold shot to set the curls.
If you begin your hair wet, and use the pre-styling dryer prior to curling, you may wish to not dry your hair as much, and then when using the barrels to curl, ensure the hair is completely dry before releasing. If you start with dry hair and use a spray bottle to dampen hair, you may not be getting the hair wet enough prior to using the barrels. You can also experiment with a styling/setting spray once complete to help hold the curls.

Perfect hair in a fraction of the time

I’ve had this for about a year now and I still love it. It does have a bit of a learning curve but once you get it down, it’s amazing and you can do your whole head in minutes. I even use it to touch up second-third day hair. For pin curls, ringlets, beachy waves, etc, it is perfect. My hair is thick and course and naturally 2b curly and I can get it with no frizz. If you’re struggling to get your hair perfect, try looking up Ariba Parviaz on YouTube or Instagram. Yes, if I don’t use any product, my curls will fall by the end of the day. But when I use any type of hold spray or wax, they stay out for days. My hair stylist even commented how minimally damaged my hair was so now I can stretch out my hair trims. Is it expensive? Yes. Absolutely. But worth it? If you’re like me and are able to keep hair dryers for 10+ years or find hair as a valid investment - absolutely. R

Great Tool

I have owned this tool for about three months now and have really enjoyed it so far. I have thick, curly hair and it takes about five minutes to dry. I brush it before and dry in layers. The sound is calming and not as aggressive as a regular blow dryer, which I love. I haven't used the curling aspect of it yet, but plan to do so!

Impressive Little Machine

I didn’t even know this existed until a week ago! I purchased it after watching a few reviews on YouTube. In just a few uses, I have been able to accomplish styles I have not before. My hair looks so much smoother and shinier than with other tools. There is definitely a learning curve, but I just searched for YouTube reviewers with similar hair to mine and I was able to pick it up pretty quickly.

The airwrap is a game-changer. The curls last all day, and even the next I have a nice tousled hair look. Only thing that could be better is the option of personalizing your kit. The brushes don't really seem to do much for me, and I prefer the longer barrels, so it's a bummer to have to buy those separately.

I bought this thinking it was just another hairdryer and it is not. It is the best I have ever used. It is not harsh on your hair and the attachments are awesome. They are easy to use and work fabulously.

Amazing Features!

This tool is amazing!! My hair feels so much healthier and it is much shinier with no frizz. I can style my hair any way I want and minimize how often I must wash my hair. By the third use, I am drying and styling in half the time. I have very long, wavy, fine hair and chose these options when purchasing. The long barrels work great!
